Saturday Guitar

It’s gloomy outside here in Beautiful as we are experiencing the April showers that bring many flowers so that puts me in the mood for the Adagio by Albinoni.

I like the way they pass the dominant melody back and forth. She’s got the hardest part since she has to turn her head to watch him while all he has to do is lift his head to watch her. Methinks they could do better if they faced each other or if they had more confidence in their playing and tempo that they wouldn’t have to look at each other all the time. It detracts from the performance. Yes. Listen to the dude who will never approach their ability on guitar criticize their performance.

Here it is on solo guitar. I like this one more.

  1. Magnificent Adagio. Yes, the two young people make it sound a bit arduous. Sad but we should not see the hard word in a performance. Much better with the mature player. I actually could catch it on the piano with him, and play it by ear. Apart from the full version, it’s possible to download an easier piano version which is quite nice, if you ever want to add this to your repertoire, Denny. You’re still practicing?
