I read a column this morning by some liberal twit named Mary Sanchez and she had her panties in a bunch about Trump hosting Saturday Night Live. Funny, I didn’t read anything about her writing a column about the SNL campaign commercial for Thunder Rodent Thighs in its season debut. Cankles on SNL good. Trump on SNL bad. If it weren’t for double standards, liberals wouldn’t have any standards at all. By the way, that episode of SNL did it for me. I’m done with SNL. As soon as the PIAP’s ugly face appeared on my TV screen, I turned the TV off before I threw sumpin’ through the screen. I read later that the episode was basically one big campaign commercial for Thunder Rodent Thighs.
Yeah, I know, SNL is liberal, but this time, they are really in the tank for Cankles. Anyway, the show has gone downhill lately. The cast is so large it’s hard to know who is who anymore. And the news? They sure ruined that. Colin Jost? Just because writers like Tina Fey and Seth Meyers could do the news, it doesn’t mean that any writer can. Meyers was already a performer when he started doing Weekend Update and Tina Fey had performing talent as well. Jost? Forget it.
Then they doubled down on failure by adding Michael Che to Weekend Update, prolly for Diversity (All Hail Diversity!). Or maybe it was an attempt to make Jost look good since Che is so bad. I mean really, really bad. In all of SNL I cannot think of anyone worse than this dude. But they do have a black dude who can take potshots at Ben Carson and tell all of us that he isn’t really black. Liberal blacks can get away with racism, yannow.
The only two really good parts of SNL are the opening skit and Weekend Update. Now, they’ve ruined Weekend Update. As for the musical guests? I always fast forwarded through them since they are almost always total crap. I never watched SNL in real time. Now I won’t bother at all, not even the episode that Trump will be in.
I also don’t watch the weekly one hour campaign commercial for Cankles known as Madame Secretary. Madame Secretary is the secretary of state that Hollywood wanted the PIAP to be like: competent and attractive. 0 for 2. Just like when BJ was president. They made movies about presidents that they wished he was like. Like Air Force One. Can you imagine BJ? He would be cowering in fear the entire movie. The only people he wouldn’t be afraid of would be the women staffers.
I haven’t watched SNL in 20 years. I thankfully missed the entirety of the Will Ferrell years. Back in the early 90’s, they had their 2nd best cast ever (The original cast being the best, IMO), Chris Farley, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, Jan Hooks, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, Victoria Jackson, Tim Meadows, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, and the best Weekend Update anchor EVER, Dennis Miller. Every cast they’ve had since then sucks the comic fumes left behind by that great ensemble. Lorne Michaels is a libiot who no longer knows what funny is.
I’m with Counter-Revolutionary. I won’t even record it on my DVR as it is waste of hard drive space. Can you imagine if you heard “Jane, you ignorant misguided slut” today. Back when they were free to entertain without the restriction of political correctness and push the envelope of bad taste, that was when you had REAL entertainment.
