Didja hear what just happened at the University of Missouri? The black football players promised to boycott the rest of the season unless the president resigned. Here’s a question. How would we have known? Haven’t they been doing that all season? Looking at their record it doesn’t appear that they have been showing up for very many games. They couldn’t even beat Kentucky fer chrissakes. Of course, the football coach came out in support of the footlball players because football is far more important than education. Yannow, Mizzou used to be one of the top jouranlism schools in the country but with the current state of “journalism” that’s not saying much. I wonder if they have a class titled Geobbels on Journalism, since journalism is dead and has been replaced by propaganda.
Not only did the president of Mizzou resign, but one of the chancellors did as well. All this has done is embolden the Social Justice Warriors. Appeasement never works. Never. It just makes your enemy stronger.
This was big in Atlanta as you would expect. The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation had quotes from a lot of blacks including Hank Aaron. The attempt to make what is going on at Mizzou into what Aaron wen through when he was breaking into baseball and when he was chasing the home run record is ludicrous. There is no comparison. They even had a quote from Tommie Smith one of the black athletes who raised his fist on the medal stand at the Olympics 47 years ago. The poor oppressed black athlete. Boo-freakin’-hoo.
What happened at Mizzou? Supposedly, someone was called nigger. Once again, boo-freakin’-hoo. It’s the end of the world. There were some other minor incidents as well but nothing anywhere as close to what went on back in the civil rights era. This is not an isolated incident. More precious little black snowflakes will continue to cry racism. More scalps will be demanded. Mizzou should have not backed down. They should have let the black athletes boycott. Forfeit the season. Goodbye scholarships. Of course some of them could have caught on at other schools but this would delay their chance at playing in the NFL. The marginal players would have been screwed the most. No chance at another school and no education. They would have been hurt more than the school. And for what? For a phony cause.
What school will be the next Mizzou? What college will the SJWs go after next to demand another scalp?
It is interesting to watch the Alinsky boomerang effect. Liberal administrators teaching students how to be social activists at ultra liberal institutions can finally see the effect of all their “nurturing” as it comes back to bite them on their individual and collective asses.
Realists see the likelihood of this result at the start of the process. The willfully blind left cannot see it coming until it rolls over them and, even then, they probably still wonder what happened.
Liberalism really is a disease and the cure is more often than not catastrophic.

The population of Missouri is roughly 80% white, as I recall, and MU is reflects that with roughly 75% white student body with around 7% black.
The football team, however is roughly 70% black. So just exactly WHERE is the racial disparity?
And why is such a small minority dictating to an overwhelming majority?
And did the mandatory fines and revenue losses for not playing scheduled football games have anything at all to do with Wolfe’s resignation?

I graduated from high school in Blue Springs, Mo., which is 21 miles east of KC MO in 1975. I left the area, my dear Mother still lives there, after school when I went into the USCG for 4 years. I go home to visit her 3-4 times a year. I’ve lived in the central Crazyfornia mountains for many decades now.
Missouri is not the state I grew up in. I do not recognize it anymore and I am still wondering when the maniac liberals took it over. It was very conservative back in the days when I was a youngster there. WTH happened to Missouri?? And when??

Floated a lot of Ozark rivers myself when I still lived in Missouri. Current. Meramec. Jacks Fork. Black. Niangua. Huzzah and Courtois Creeks. After my boat and cabin partnership at Lake of the Ozarks broke up, I started going waterskiing with another friend at Lake Norfork. It was a much cleaner lake and the skiing was better. I learned to scuba dive in that lake. I’d like to say I miss Missouri but the state is falling apart. Claire McCaskill. Todd Akin would be worse that that witch? Really? What’s wrong with my home state?

I used to love to go to Table rock Lake. It was awesome, and we floated the Eleven Point river near Myrtle Mo a lot too. Floated the Current many times. Then at times, we’d go down to the Mulberry river in Ark. Again, it was 30 years ago so maybe those places aren’t as nice as they were in my Mo. stomping around days when I was in my 20’s.
I sure as hell know the politics went to hell there.
Floated the Eleven Point once. Beautiful river. Back in the 80’s the country sheriff had his deputies hang out on the banks and bust the dopers floating down the stream. They would post bail and then skip. It was a nice revenue source for the county. It got a bad rep due to that. It got written up in the St. Louis papers. The outfitter I rented my canoe from was really pissed off about that as it affected his business big time. He was a Marine vet and he said he preferred renting to dopers since they brought his canoes back in better shape (“They just float down the river and go ‘Oh wow!'”) than the boozers who liked to play ram the canoes. Kinda surprised that the Marine was OK with pot smokers. Capitalism in action.
