Another song that KSHE 95 used to play a lot in the early 70’s. The lead guitarist for Humble Pie back then was Peter Frampton. This sure is a hell of a lot better than rap “music”. Talk about kickin’ ass! The 70’s were great for rock!
And, as a bonus, here is a “slightly” older peter Frampton performing the same song.
Saw him in the 70’s post Humble Pie. Saw him again in the 90’s, still rocked! Waited until everyone put their cellphones away and then rocked the place. Bob Mayal was still playing with him, what a talent also.
Saw him on TV a couple of years ago. He played about seven different Les Pauls. Must be nice to have that many Les Pauls.
I owned a $1375 1980 black and silver “Starburst” Les Paul Custom for about 25 years; it was a massive frickin’ brick. The finish turned kind of “Area 51” green on me (something to do with the copper element in the finish). I was so used to the fat neck of a LP Custom that it took me about a year and a half to adjust to the thinner neck and floating bridge of the Ibanez I play now.
My fingers have gotten fat and I can’t play thin necks any more. Can barely play my two Strats.
Humble Pie’s Rockin’ the Fillmore was one of the cassettes (I dubbed in from the vinyl LP) I used to play loudly in my car in the 1970s! But my favorite video of Humble Pie was of them playing “Thunderbox” from the old In Concert TV show. It’s on YouTube. Bummer Steve Marriot isn’t around any more.
