I appear to have some writer’s block so here is another fine piece from Ron.
Beautimous day out there, but fulla sunshine, and I ain’t s’posed to be out in it twixt 0900 and 1800, so I gotta hang around and wait for it to cloud up this afternoon so I can lop the tops offa the weeds in the front. Had a splendid bowl of that chili I made a coupla weeks ago without any hot sauce. Big ol York Peppermint Pattie and a glass of cold tea, then felt like sayin somethin, so here ’tis:
Man, I will be SO-O-O glad when the Compulsive Bullshit Championships are over. I mean, it’s like we all unwittingly drank some Kool-Aid and wound up in an alternate universe back in November 2008 and can’t find the brownie crumbs to point the way out.
Good Grief! Imagine living in a world controlled by people with no grasp of individual liberty, or simple cause-and-effect, or supply and demand, or basic economics, or personal responsibility, or the unintended consequences of unrestrained entitlements for non producers —
What?? Whaddya mean “Welcome to 2016!”
HFS, when I see the communists and felons and windbags and poseurs our two-party system is offering us this cycle, it’s hard to see how either side will have the skill or resources to put lipstick on the two pigs that emerge from the wallow.
Really! I mean, Trump is not an asshole but he plays one on TV.
Sanders is not a communist but he sure’s hell sounds like one.
Clinton is not a criminal but Vince Foster and Ambassador Stevens might argue the point with you.
Kasich is not an insider but he’s the darling of the traditionalists.
Cruz is not loathsome but he pegs most people’s Sleazemeter.
Hillary is so out of touch with reality that I fully expect to see a clip of her out rotating the air in her tires. She genuinely feels qualified to be the leader of the memory of the greatest country the world has ever known, but in truth she’s just Al Capone in a pants suit.
Trump is more like Frank Costello, who wanted to be seen as a good guy with unlimited cash. And Cruz is a Lucky Luciano type, smart, sneaky, and unafraid to go to the knife when necessary. Kasich is more like Carlo Ricci, a wannabe who thinks he can swim with the big boys but winds up on the bottom with the trash fish.
I’m REALLY nauseated by the Clinton addicts. The Cult of Trump isn’t quite so bad ‘cause that’ll sooner or later go away like a summer cold, but Clintoholics are not salvageable. Sometimes I feel as if I’m living in Tormentopolis where people I don’t even know are paid to pester me with constant reminders of just how near the edge of the cliff we are as a nation . . . Trump, Clinton, Sanders, Paul, Romney . . . and I have no doubt that both Reid and Pelosi will be re-elected – AGAIN!
As I read somewhere recently (Thomas Sowell, I think), the problem today is not that young people can’t read. It’s not even that they can’t think. Their problem is that they hate doing both and don’t know the difference between thinking and feeling, so they let others make decisions for them, and usually it’s a loudmouth with an off-the-wall agenda that they turn to.
Most of the “experts” today are saying that our choice will be between Clinton and Trump this fall. So Hillary’s out running around (waddling around – FIFY Ron – GOC) trying to determine where all those angry voters are headed so she can act as if she’s leading them. And a whole lot of Trump’s appeal comes directly from the average citizen’s anger at HER skating on Benghazi, e-mail, and those slip-slide appearances and artful dodger answers at Congressional hearings.
I think it’s time for medical science to stop worrying about the Zika and AIDS viruses that’re becoming pandemic in Asia, Africa, and South America and start working on a vaccine for the Political Correctness Plague and Human Ignorance Virus that’re already epidemic in the US.
So long, America. Goodbye, Safety. Been nice knowin ya, Christianity.
RIP Western Civilization. I mean, when Germany has to create posters to educate Muslim “refugees” not to defecate in the showers, you can dim the lights and start collecting the empties, ‘cause this party’s over. Like posters will have an effect on 7th-century savages. R-i-i-i-g-h-t. Like the Soetoro Swoosh made things SO much better in Uh-Murka.
Another great post from Ron. Common sense is dead in Western Civilization as its leaders welcome into their countries barbarian savages who will only eventually kill their citizens. We have the same thing here in the US. The only person who appears to be against that is Trump. He may be an asshole, but maybe that is what we need to straighten this country out. Inviting the Third World to invade our country is not the answer unless the question is, How do we destroy America and everything it stands for?
