It’s outrageous that Deep Purple were just this year inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they were the absolute masters of early 70’s rock. Ritchie Blackmore may not be the most skilled guitarist out there, but he has a unique sound, that when combined with Jon Lord’s organ, makes one hell of an awesome sonic swirl. Ian Paice often gets overlooked, but I believe he is a superior drummer. Surely better than most. I would place him behind Moon, Bonham, Mitchell and Peart, dead even with Ginger Baker, and above all the rest. Finally, Ian Gillian can scream with the best of them. Maybe he and Rob Halford will get together some day and slam out an epic metal scream-fest.
That cut worked out rather well with this Michigan, mid May, 33 degree, blowin’ like a motherfucker outside, morning cup of joe.
Life is good.

NWA in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? WTF? What they do ain’t rock and roll.
All HoF’s are about politics. Just ask Pete Rose.
Look at how long it took for Rush to get in. And I don’t think Yes is in yet. But they put NWA in. Gotta throw the blacks a nugget.
