Thanks to all of you who commented on my I’m Back post. I was making a joke about the emails. I got quite a few and many were from people who have never commented. I’m humbled by the response in all of the comments. I guess it shows that quality of readers is far more important than quantity. Those of you who follow me on Twitter knew I was alive. Some of you even braved the red screen of death and bypassed it to comment on one of the last two posts I put up before taking my time off and deciding whether to continue the blog. There are still a few issues I need to address plus I’m fighting one of my pain spells so I may not watch the speech tonight and report on it.

I knew you wouldn’t give up, and happy to hear you realize that readership numbers are nothing in comparison to the patriotic sentiment and candor your posts provide (no matter how politically incorrect as deemed by the general populace). It is evident from your posts that you love this [great] country of ours, and it is in that context that your expression and delivery should be understood. For a while your freedom of speech was violated by a hacker, but it didn’t quench your spirit. Go dude.

My sister asked me not to tell that story since Michael was sufficiently humiliated in the poll he insisted that I take. His wife told me she could no longer be my friend because of it. 25 year friendship over because her husband was an asshole.
