Altho’ there are many worthy candidates this week, I will have to give it to the beauzeaus at MS-ESPN. They were nominated by my sister and many readers. What did they do? They removed an announcer for an upcoming UVA football game for having the name Robert Lee. What makes it even more stupid is that he is an Asian. My old blog buddy Kim Crawford (not the winemaker from down under – alas) from the old Velociworld blog who is now on Facebook came up with a good solution. Change his name to Lobert Ree. That would fit with his Asian heritage.
This is really getting fucking ridiculous. When are we gonna quit pandering to the 13% of our population that seems to have been born offended? After the Confederate flags are gone and all of the Confederate War memorials have been torn down what will offend them next? When there is fear that an announcer with the name Robert Lee will cause riots we have totally passed the bounds of sanity.

One of the better comments I heard; “What did they actually think that general Robert E Lee rose from the dead to become a sports commentator?” It’s just pure stupidity on their part and is just plain ridiculous at this point. I keep wondering if we have hit rock bottom, but we find new ways to keep getting stupid.

Good news! Some Asian American American group is pissed off about
this. This is a win-win situation. The radical left (Which includes the
mainstream Democrat party) are eating their own! They have so fractured
society along racial lines, they are now reaping what they sowed. First, it
was the blue collar union vote which jumped ship when they realized
the leftist Democrats have been waging an environmental Jihad against
American industry. We went from 33+ percent of the private sector workers
belonging to labor unions in 1948 to less than 7-1/2 percent today.
I predicted back in 1992 that the union workers would be the first to
bail on the Democrat party. They also lost a ton of traditional (non-
radical) Democrat voters. This was Trump’s ace in the hole, he
appealed to the unemployed in Rust Belt, coal and steel states. Gays,
lesbians, trannies are now at war with one another in the victimhood
lottery. Now, they are pissing off Asian Americans. A party that tries
to unite disperate and often competing voting blocs will eventually
collapse especially if each faction is competing to establish victim
status! They have lost >1,200 seats nationally in three out of the
last (4) 2 year election cycles. Their campaign coffers are running on
empty. Their radicalism is the reason their party is disintegrating. Each
time they lose, they double down on stupid because they think the reason
they lost is that they weren’t liberal enough! That is their Achilles Heel.
The sad thing for them is that this is so obvious to those who are standin’ back and watchin’ it happen. Unfortunately, in another 20 years there’ll still be lots of these whackadoodles wanderin’ around spoutin’ this same stuff. We can only hope that the rest of the country will’ve come to its senses and left this fad in the dust.
After their done with the confederate statues, you think they will actually wait that long to express their misplaced outrage. In Oberlin and Akron, Ohio they are in the process of removing Columbus from Columbus day instead they will celebrate indigenous people day. Of course they couldn’t just choose not to celebrate Columbus day because all those city workers wouldn’t stand for losing a day off,not that they do much anyhow.

Democrats play the identity politics game and there is a hierarchy of identity politics, and I think islam is the top of the pile for them. The stupidity will continue because the leftist democrats are rolling with one of the tenets of the Frankfurt school where to get true socialism is to use critical analysis of a culture to remove the generations of tradition that bind that culture and when the people no longer know who they are, you can then replace the old with the new acceptable tradition and the journey to full socialism will be that much closer.
Just read some crap where now my old high school in Midland Texas is under fire for the band’s football fight song “Dixie”. Wanna guess the name of the school “Robert E. Lee”. Bet before the end of the year it will be changed to “Snowflake High” – oh wait snowflakes are white and that racist!
