At the McRINO funeral hate Trump fest last weekend Meghan McRINO said, ““America has no need to be made great again because America was always great.” Andrew Cuomo would beg to differ since he said America never was great. I’m sure Obungler feels the same way. Anyhoo, let me relate some times when America wasn’t great.
America wasn’t great in the late 60’s when the Viet Nam war was going on and we had a bunch of cowardly draft dodgers protesting. We also had someone go to Hanoi and pose on an anti-aircraft gun and make propaganda recordings like Tokyo Rose and then return to the US and not get prosecuted for treason. Yep! I’m talking about Jane Fonda.
We also had the “most trusted man in America” Walter Cronkite who went to Viet Nam and declare the Tet Offensive, which was a disaster for the NVA and the Viet Cong, as a defeat for the US. The Fake News Media was alive and well back in the 60’s. We won all of the battles over there, but thanks to the Fake News Media, we lost the war. America wasn’t great.
America wasn’t great when the Dimocrats and the Fake News Media, with the help of Republicans, overturned the result of the 1972 election, which was a landslide and hounded Richard Nixon out of office. BJ Clinton was guilty of far worse crimes, but since he was a Dimocrat, he skated. America is not great when there are laws that apply to one party but not the other.
America was not great under Jimmah Carter. Remember malaise? Remember gas lines? Remember the 55 MPH speed limit? Remember how we allowed a pissant country like Iran hold our diplomats hostage for 444 days because Carter was too much of a pussy? Remember the botched rescue attempt?
America was great under Reagan. Once again, we had the Fake News Media trying to bring him down. But they couldn’t. The economy boomed and we won the Cold War. Reagan was not afraid to walk away from a deal at Reykjavik, and the Fake News Media roasted him for it.
America was not great under BJ Clinton. Remember the embassy bombings? Remember the Cole? The Saudis offered us bin Laden and BJ turned them down.
I’m sorry to say that America was not great under Bush 43. We got 9/11 which was a massive intelligence failure. Yannow, these are the people who missed the fall of the Soviet Union. They’re also the same people the Dimocrats and the Fake News Media think we should believe now. We also invaded the wrong country. We should have invaded Iran. Also, almost al of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. Saudi Arabia didn’t pay a price because Bush was owned by the Saudis.
America certainly was not great under Obungler. He weaponized the IRS to go after conservative groups. He also weaponized the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA. He used these agencies to spy on the Trump campaign. America isn’t great when shit like this is allowed to happen.

The Washington Post’s new motto is “Democracy dies in darkness”. It sure does, especially when we have a Fake News Media that is the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party and will not cover stories that make Dimocrats look bad. BJ and Crooked Cankles both belong in prison for all of their crimes. He sold pardons at the end of his term in office. She was bribed by the Russians through the Clinton Crime Family Foundation when she was SecState. This is only the tip of the iceberg. That is the kind of stuff real journalists would be investigating, but democracy dies in darkness especially when we have a Fake News Media covering up crimes by one political party.
America wasn’t great when we shipped jobs overseas and decimated our manufacturing base. America wasn’t great when we had a president trying to destroy our coal industry and hinder oil development.
I could go on and on.
Now we have a president trying to reverse the incompetence of past administrations and bring America back to its proper place in the world. No more apologizing for our greatness. No more getting rolled in trade deals like NAFTA. But once again, we have a political party and a Fake News Media trying to overturn the results of a presidential election. We also have “Republicans” like the Bushes joining the Dimocrats. We have “conservatives” like Meghan McRINO bashing the most conservative president in my lifetime. This is what President Trump is fighting. And he is winning.

The Fake media tried to pin the Iran-Contra scandal on Reagan. He basically ran out the clock on them. They could never pin anything on him.

I think some asshat at the NYT made it up. I’m starting to think when news outlets can’t get daily tidbit on Trump to run with or stretch out shape for impact they just make shit up like the National Enquirer.
Trump says publicly what his constituents have been privately saying amongst themselves, and backs up his statements with results and earnings.
Democrats say publicly what their constituents have been taught in college, and back it up with the drive by media.
I respectfully disagree that Bush le Shrub was the one buying the blame for inadequacies of the previous administration’s intelligence apparatus. The attacks on 9/11 were planned over several years and could just as easily have left Al Gore on his figurative knees, ready to submit to Allah. (Is there much doubt he would NOT have caved, given the general worthlessness of that sorry cabal?)
But instead a damnable quasi-Republican got in. I wasn’t terribly impressed with “W,” but at least he wasn’t Al Gore.
I had always voted democrap (it’s what my parents did, but then, that was for the democrat party of old). After voting twice for BJ and too late seeing the light come on as to what democraps were doing to this country, GWB was the first republican I voted for. Sadly, he was democrap lite. I have never cast another vote for a leftie ever since then (well,, if you don’t couunt Susan Collins, cuz she’s better, but only marginally, than the lib alternatives that have tried for her seat.

Just one bone to pick with you, Denny. When you say we lost in RVN, are you forgetting that we left with a signed peace agreement with the North Vietnamese to stay on their side of the border? From my reading, I gather that the NVA, Chinese and possibly Russians crossed into the South in the largest armored offensive seen since WWII. With our air support, the RVN whacked their pee-pees and sent ’em back. When our Dimocrat-controlled House and Senate pulled even our air power, the North and their allies launched an even bigger push with armor and that was all she wrote. With the truce, the fight was over and we walked away. We just never went back and stomped their butts, but there was no political mechanism to punish the NVA ’cause the world’s appeasers wouldn’t stand up to any Commies.
As for so-called anti-war protesters, once the draft ended most of the cowards shut up and went home. I later worked with a guy who’d spent two years in prison rather than be drafted. I’ve more respect for a man with that kind of courage of his convictions than the wimps who went to Canada.
“The Easter Offensive” (Turley) and “The Bridge At Dong Ha” (Miller) give lie to the “whacked their peepees” – we were exactly 1 bridge away from having RVN overrun in 72. Air power & naval gunfire whacked the NVA *after* they got delayed at Dong Ha.
Turley was crucified for his efforts and the politicians gave NV a pass, despite our “peace agreement”.
Warriors won battles and were betrayed by limpdicks in DC. The same limpdicks who became Obama’s mentors. The same limpdicks who made losing wars the new normal.

The left don’t wanna admit it but the only economic success over there has been when capitalism is allowed to enter the fray. If it hadn’t been for the limpdicks in DC and their love of all the things their Euroweenies squee about concerning socialism and lack of personal drive to improve oneself, the economic landscape would look hugely different. It’s directly on their heads that the sufferin’ of those who were left behind and the boat people rests.
