All the hoopla is over. Atlanta can return to normal. Geez! That’s all it’s been for the last week. The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation had a special Super Bowl section every day last week.
I read that roof on the stadium worked. It took forever to get that sucker working and the opening of the new stadium was pushed back because of that.
I hear the game sucked. I wouldn’t know since I didn’t watch it. There is a local station that runs classic TV shows and I watched a Wild Wild West show I had recorded earlier and an episode of Columbo.
The NFL lost me when it didn’t quash the protests when it should have (Pete Rozelle wouldn’t have put up with that bullshit) and then doubled down in 2017 when the owners linked arms and some of them knelt with the kneegroes. They addressed it in the offseason but it was too little too late and then they wimped out on that policy. Too many of the owners are SJWs. I’m looking at you Arthur Blank. What do you think of the increasing anti-Semitism of the party you support? Your business partner at Home Depot, Bernie Marcus, is the smart one. He’s a Republican.
I just read that the ratings for the game hit a ten year low. Looks like I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the woke NFL.
The Rams said they prolly wouldn’t have gone to the White House if they won. Don’t have to worry about that losers. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Brady and Belichick are both Trump fans. MAGA!
I was with you, watched the golf then turned the TV off when it was over. Didn’t even check the scores til this morning.
80% of the ads were preachy, preachy, preachy. Nothing but white guilt and affirmative action. Minorities, women and children were always depicted with angry scowls and bitter, determined countenances and chips on their shoulders, while the little bit of humor was usually at the expense of white males. Lots of corporate SJW PSA’s, including the WaPo’s self-referent admonishment of We the People in defense of their lofty profession of “journalism,” which came across as pure propaganda, the irony of which, of course, escaped them.
I’m under the opinion that if I want to watch a bunch of guys not being able to score for three hours, I’ll just join a group of my friends at a bar…
Obviously then you are not a soccer fan, why they call that a sport is beyond comprehension………At least one team did get to double figures. All in all kinda boring but I really did not think New England would even be in the Super Bowl this year …Surprise! Surprise!
Actually I am glad New England won as it prevented the LA Rams from making assholes of themselves not going to the White House.
My thoughts exactly.
Lost all interest in the Superbowl. Mainly because I figured the Patriots would win which they did. No interest in the ads or the preaching. Seen it, heard it. No more for me. Was out shopping then dinner, then some music videos on YouTube and then off to bed.
Haven’t watched any NFL games since the Kneegro movement began. I don’t expect to resume watching in my lifetime.
Waited for radio news to report the result. Couldn’t be bothered to waste time listening to the game itself. Hose ’em all.
Greatest defensive performance ever in a Super Bowl. I loved it.
Curious to see if Brady goes to the White House. His wife wouldn’t let him last time, she hates Trump.
I did watch SB LIII for a while. I don’t watch the NBA anymore now that every game has turned into a 3 point shooting contest…which appears to be the only skill, along with dribbling, that is required in that pro sport.
Paul- you left out finger pointing, face making and chest thumping.
The NBA is football on the hardwood. They no longer call traveling or palming. I quit watching it decades ago.
The good old days in the mid 50`s there were 8 teams….Syracuse Nationals, Rochester Royals ,Boston Celtics, New York Knicks. Philadelphia Warrior s, Fort Wayne Pistons , Minneapolis Lakers & briefly the Baltimore Bullets.
that is the NBA I remember but there were a number of other teams during the formative years who appeared & disappeared .
Only two teams remain in the original cities from that time frame…..Boston Celtics & NewYork Knicks.
Timepasses & things change, the game was different then…… today it sucks. Players have become giants , play making is a far cry from the 1953 game. To restore the original Game would require some rule changes & raising the net about 4 feet ,maybe even making the court longer…….never happen though .
The last Pro Basket game I watched was when WilttChamberlain was playing.
I quit watching when the Hawks moved from St. Louis to Atlanta. I remember Bob Pettit, Cliff Hagan, Lenny Wilkins, and “Easy” Ed Macauley. During that time the Hawks and Celtics played some good games with the Hawks winning the championship once. By the time I moved to Atlanta, the game had already changed for the worse and I never became a Hawks fan. Basketball used to be an elegant game. Now it has become thugball.
Stopped watching football for none of the reasons above. 45 years of continuous heartbreak being a Minnesota Viking fan. Dumped them and the sport two years ago. Glad I did with all the above BS happening. More free time for me to piss off progressives.
