I gave American Jews my AOTW Award lat week for their allegiaence to the Dimocrat party which has become more and more anti-Semitic. They couldn’t even condemn Ilhan Omar (Dimocrat, Somalia) for her anti-Semitic remarks instead passing a resolution that actually condemned Islamophobic remarks. BTW, Islamophobia is actually the rational fear of Islam.
Catholics are actually just as bad as Jews. How someone could call himself (or herself) a Catholic and a Dimocrat is beyond me. Catholics are anti-abortion. Dimocrats are pro-abortion and it’s turning out that they are also for infanticide. Andrew Cuomo, who claims he is a Catholic, just signed a bill in New York that essentially legalizes infanticide. How can he call himself a Catholic? The same goes for Speaker Blinky and Flipper.
Religion is not a buffet. You either believe in the tenets of your religion or you don’t. You don’t get to pick and chose which tenets to believe in. Turns out that Dimocrat Catholics don’t believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church but claim they are Catholics. They’re not. They’re hypocrites. Of course, since they’re Dimocrats that goes without saying.
I’m an atheist, but there are times I really wish there were a God. I’d love to see lightning strike fake Catholics like Blinky, Flipper and Cuomo.
Update: And another thing. Bears do still shit in the woods but the pope is no longer Catholic so that answers those two questions.

Labels are just that, Denny. Those folks may wear the labels but that don’t mean they live their lives by the teachings of the groups to which they belong. You, on the other hand, seem to have an admirable set of values, and you’ve been pretty consistent in all the years I’ve followed your blog. I’d sure rather have you coverin’ my back than some of those assholes.

What about the priests that sexually molest young boys. They call themselves Catholic. I call them gays. Doesn’t the Catholic Church condemn gays and the lifestyle they lead? And the church protects them.
They are homos who have infiltrated the fake Catholic Novus Ordo Church. Part of their goals is to discredit what people think is the Catholic Church.
The television tells them this group of fakes is the Catholic Church, and so they believe it.

When my first marriage was faltering before it crashed & burned, my Ex & I tried to work things out through the Catholic Church . In sessions with a Priest it was readily apparent he considered the man was always at fault never the woman.
When my Ex stated “She was to beautiful to be a house wife” the Priest said no she does not really mean it. When fidelity was the issue & strange vehicles would show up in my driveway with neighbors reporting the activity to me…the Priest said they were probably lying to you.
Well after 3 breakups I told this Priest enough was enough & I was divorcing her for the infidelities…..The good Priest then said it was all my fault, I was immature & remaining single would be my cross to bear for the failed marriage………..NO!
That was when I realized this fool of a Priest was no help, I divorced my Ex & moved on with my life . Been married now 53 years to wife #2, three children , eight Grand Children & one Great Grand child. This is a cross I gladly bear.
The Ex has has used marriage as a revolving door & her children`s birth certificates probably list the father as “to whom it may concern”.
As for the good Priest ….He was prominently featured as one of the Child molesters defrocked by the church. That apparently was not just his cross to bear but his victims as well.
I remain to this day a believer in God but a practicing Catholic I am not. Since my second wife still attends the Catholic church ….apparently my money she puts in the collection plate each week is still Catholic though.

Nullifidian here myself, and if the poorest member and the wealthy and powerful aren’t equal in the confessional and at the altar rail, then the Catholic church hasn’t progressed beyond simony and the selling of indulgences.
I’ve lost many otherwise-rational friends when I pointed out such things about their church.
You’d be surprised how much the statement “He no playa da game, he no maka da rules” set’s ’em off.
The lure of social acceptance is so much more powerful these days now that it is aligned not with the tenets of religion but instead with the forces of social change. The elite have been mislead and steered by propaganda towards a goal that in retrospect they would have never agreed with. Such is the current state of affairs where organizations who ought be aligned with the group that promotes the morals and values they claim to espouse end up siding with those bent on their destruction.
The epitaphs of Judaism and Christianity in general will reflect that they willingly surrendered their beliefs so they would be accepted at the table of their enemy. This is the lure of political correctness and then end product that it seeks. The annihilation of any entity but the state. The state, and those who run it, are supreme and will remain so. Anyone who holds beliefs to the contrary will be dispensed with in the most expedient manner be it retraining or ostracizing them.
I consider myself a lapsed Catholic , and the reasons for “lapsing” are exactly the ones you highlight in your post , Denny . I have no explanation as to why the Catholic Church has abandoned it’s faith and traditions in favor of following the siren song of “social justice” . It’s been a slow, initally imperceptible slide into the abyss – one that even a great man like John Paul II couldn’t stop .
You hit the nail on the head Denny. My in-laws are Catholics to their very fiber and staunch democrats. You’d think that FDR was Moses’s right hand man. I gave up long ago trying to talk some logic with them. As for the Pope, he seems to read the polls way too much and lean the way that wind blows. Seen Blinky with ashes on her head last Wednesday. The priest that put those there should not be able to sleep at night.

A small distinction, perhaps, but vital. In order for you to KNOW that an omniscient being absolutely does not exist, you yourself would have to be an omniscient being. So long as there is ANYTHING in this universe of which you are unaware, THAT “anything” may in fact be the God you are unaware of.
So, you see, only God could ever know enough to KNOW that He did not exist.
I remember a picture of Yuri Gagarin the first human in space & orbit the earth all dressed up in his Cosmonaut suit like he had just stepped out of his orbital space craft………..The caption under the picture was:” I seen God up there & she is colored ! ”
I laughed at the time but did he see Maxine Water`s? ……..after all she is colored & thinks she is God!
