My friend Pres sent me this story. Love the picture with it.
Water has apparently become so scarce in the Golden State that some municipalities are about to begin piping recycled sewer water back into people’s homes, new reports indicate.
Maybe if they quit blowing up dams and sending fresh water into San Francisco Bay to save a bait fish there wouldn’t be a water shortage.
The California State Water Resources Control Board recently announced new regulations that will allow treated wastewater to be reused as drinking water, though it won’t make up 100 percent of what comes through the tap.
Well, that’s a relief. They’re gonna dilute the crap and piss.
A certain percentage of recycled wastewater will reportedly be mixed with fresh water before people drink it, officials say. And after being used a second time, this recycled water blend will have to undergo a waiting period before being reused again for a third time.
“This is a type of indirect potable use – it’s not treated recycle water that goes directly to someone’s house,” stated Miryam Barajas from the Water Board in an attempt to reassure the public that the changes aren’t as disgusting as they sound. “It’s highly treated,” she says, not mentioning the residues of pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, and other toxins that don’t get filtered out with current mass-filtration technologies.
The so-called sewer-to-reservoir setup – or what some are referring to as toilet-to-tap – isn’t necessarily new to California, especially in certain areas of Southern California that have been recycling water for several years now. But its implementation on a state-wide scale is new. In some ways, it’s also experimental.
“Toilet to tap.” Has kind of a nice ring to it doesn’t it.
Pres told me he heard on the news that the snow pack this year is 202% above normal. Yannow, had they built a few more reservoirs rather than wasting money on a bullet train to nowhere they would be able to store a lot of that melting snow pack. Or maybe if they built some nuke plants to provide electricity for some desalinization plants. Or maybe if they had cracked down on all of the illegal immigration for the past 50 years the state would not have the huge water using population.
Just remember, California leads the nation. This is what the liberals progressives rat bastard commies want for the rest of the country.
That is happening already, although on a smaller scale. I stand on the bow of my boat, after a few and let it flow. Oroville feeds the Feather which feeds the Sacramento and moves on down to all those Liberal dumps downstream. Drink up A Holes!
Yup. Nuclear powered de-salination.
They can buy the uranium from Russia.
San Francisco has finally decided to START doing something about enforced treatment for drug addicts.

Meanwhile, the Poop Patrols aren’t working and cholera and suspected bubonic plague are all part of that lovely tourist destination. The mystery? How can people pay so much money to put up with such poor governmental services?
As Will Rogers said, “Folks oughta be glad they don’t get all the government they pay for.”
But in Michigan, they DOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

There was talk of this in the SF East Bay in the Seventies. They nixed it because the sewage plant was right at seal level and the cost of pumping it into the nicer homes in the hills, or Contra Costa County cities like Orinda and Lafayette was too high. The recycled water would’ve only been goin’ into the poorer residents’ homes so the program was accused of bein’ racist.
Remind me again, why is it so many people WANT to live in California?
I’d kinda’ like to know as well, but they do seem to be changing their minds and heading north … now Oregon needs to build a wall along its southern border.
Too late. Oregon has already been Californicated. So has Washington.
No matter what you do or how you decorate it …. the best outhouse in the world is still a shit hole.
During the time frame from 1978 to 1996 I was on many business trips to LA & San Fran. Each time the people there became more Liberal. The most enjoyable part of those trips was leaving the shit hole called California
If they are going to reuse it, they should send it to the valleys for crop irrigation. Pumping water is actually pretty cheap once the pipeline is constructed.
water has been ‘recycled’ from the beginning of time. There is no NEW water. Everybody is drinking recycled dino-piss; from tap or bottled. Don’t over react.
Since the dinos pissed in it it’s been distilled (evaporated and condensed) millions of times.
SF isn’t even distilling this shit once.
Bottoms up, people!
It’s the pause that refeces.
Say what you want about Chicago but fresh water is in abundance and much of the reason that there are so many major developments in progress or about to be in progress. Do we have crime, yes. But the crime is solvable if the police are allowed to do their job and the right judges are in place. In addition, Chicago doesn’t have camps of shelterless individuals like other major cities…-10 degree winter weather helps with that.

As the folks here at the top of the mountain say:
“Please flush twice, the people down hill need the water!”
I can’t wait for the feces to show in the tons of fresh vegetables, fruit and nuts we import every day from the people’s republic. If you can dry or freeze dry you will save some of the flavor, but in the future, the cost will go up for shitty food.
This is simply one of the benefits living in a socialist paradise.
