Ronsday – Debate

Ron on debates.

Certainly no intellectual heavyweights in this mob. Mox nix, tho, ‘cuz since the very first TV debate, back with JFK and Tricky Dick, it seems the candidates are universally misinformed on what they propose, misguided on what they oppose, mistaken on what they verify, and misleading on what they deny.

Most of ‘em go on stage hoping for a breakthrough but wind up enduring a breakdown. Promises are pipe dreams, explanations are fishing expeditions, programs are flim-flam, and hard “facts” are distracts.

Answers are rehearsed and memorized impact statements written by sycophants and snowflakes who flew in on Puff the Magic Dragon from Never-Never Land riding the hot-air updrafts from the political pollsters and mainstream media talking heads.

Most “average” Americans probably pay little attention to political debates because they realize the candidates are there to say what they think will get them attention, not to tell the truth about how to make the nation better, stronger, safer.

The guys in the corner bar, the 9- to 5-er havin a beer after supper, the busy wife/mother tryin to get her teenagers to help with the dishes . . . they don’t give a rat’s rear what Bernie or Kamala or Joe or Tulsi actually believe, mostly ‘cause they know that’s not what they’re gonna hear from ‘em.

They know it’ll be recited mantras designed to attract someone interested in a freebie of some kind, or a hopeless crusade about some splinter group, or a vicious condemnation of the opposing party.

What they’re really hoping for, like Bubba at a NasCar race or Deontay at an NFL game, is the spectacular spin-out, the successful hail Mary, the zinger, the “Gotcha!” moment, not some vague overgeneralized rigamarole about taxing the rich or controlling the climate.

The amount of money wasted on political campaigning over the past 5 years in this country could easily have built “The Wall” already, paid for infrastructure repair, and fed all the homeless in Kaliphonia. Hillary’s 2016 campaign alone spent a billion and a half.

I say ban all political campaigning on a national scale until 100 days before the general election. Keep it off my TV, off my computer screen, out of my mailbox, and out of my telephone answering machine. And if you’ve already been in the US Congress for 12 years, either house, your name is not allowed on a ballot any more except for state or city positions.

And if your name is Clinton or Soetoro, you’re banned from government. Period.

I agree with Ron.

And another thing. These are not debates. They are joint press conferences.

  1. I concur especially on the term limits. I didn’t vote for John Cornyn the last time and I won’t next year. He voted for cloture on the affordable care act which enabled the dims to ram it down our throat. Cruz did the same thing Obama did… first term in the senate and tried for president.

  2. I havent watched a nano second of this utter bullshit. I simply wait until the next day and read Breitbart or US News to catch the gaffs and utterly stupid comments. Hell, the Babylon Bee has more believable information than the Democrat suckholes at CNN put out.

  3. This discourse is ridiculous. It’s either re-elect our President or, sudden death by ClownWorld.

    That’s it.

Up to you Boomers. You’re going away, do something right for a change.

  4. I think this cluster of dunces know they are going get their asses stomped
like a Narc at a biker rally, so they are free to tell the American people
what they really stand for. They are not even making an attempt to at
least appear moderate in their ideology. Their steady drumbeat of insane
policies has been so intense that there is no way they can walk it hack in the
    general election.

This can’t be a BJ Billy triangulation strategy at work. When you are
advocating for 57 genders, trannies in your daughter’s school restroom,
calling your political rival Hitler and insulting Middle America, you cannot
pull an Emily Latella the minute the primary election is over. Only two
of these clown car candidates were not promising to send armed jackboots
to our homes to confiscate our firearms, and one of them is a Senator from
Minnesota. Recent polling of Minnesota is showing a major shift towards
Donald and he came within gnats ass of taking the state in 2016.

My personal theory about this menagerie of circus clowns is that most
people in America see socialism as evil. They have been spewing compassion
and tolerance for decades, and these idiots have swallowed their own BS.
They are still evil but wow can anyone take these delusional twatwaffles
    seriously?

  5. Hell, Ron, not a one of ’em would even qualify as an intellectual flyweight, and they’re still punchein’ below their class. Reminds me of a kindergarten pillow fight.

  6. Quote: “The amount of money wasted on political campaigning over the past 5 years in this country could easily have built “The Wall” already, paid for infrastructure repair, and fed all the homeless in Kaliphonia. Hillary’s 2016 campaign alone spent a billion and a half.”

    Yep!

More quote: “I say ban all political campaigning on a national scale until 100 days before the general election. Keep it off my TV, off my computer screen, out of my mailbox, and out of my telephone answering machine. ”

AND, you can only donate money to those candidates for offices that represent YOU. No more out of state, out of sight donations, no more corporate donations, period! No more PAC’s, etc – only money given directly by voters represented by the candidate allowed.

  7. Were you able to return to the 1950`s/1960`s Probably all of the current Democratic wannabes would have been laughed off as any serious contender.
The Democratic party then while liberal had a number of Conservative member s& was far more respectable & concerned for the greater good of the country.
Todays Democratic party from top to bottom range from being not so secret communist in political thought to Elitest liberal socialist …….. Except for the clowns , liars ,Racist black poverty pimps & just plain Idiots.
The unfortunate truth is the Republican party RINO`S are just as bad & we as a nation are poorly represented by all the Democrats & about 50% of the Republicans.
Will we recover before this nation fails as every civilization before us did ? That is the question & given the lack of appreciation or knowledge of this Countries history or what it stands for by the Millennial generation puts that likelihood in doubt.
I hope I am wrong…………but the aftermath of the 2016 election orchestrated by the democrats, championed by the media & the violence purpetrated of the mindless Millennial`s does not bode well for a true recovery.
