Got up this mornin with nothin partic’lar on my mind. Came in here to check what was in the “notes to self” folder on iMac’s desktop . . . blank. Used ‘em all up a coupla days ago.

Read a few blogs and got disgusted with the purely partisan, virtually groundless “no confidence” (aka impeachment) sedition goin on in the House and quit. Did a whole buncha little stuff for a coupla hours . . . mostly associated with prep for the kitchen-cabinet overhaul project.

Simple tasks, especially repetitive stuff like runnin the mower or trimmin the hedges or rearrangin stuff in the loft, frees up the actual thinkin part of my brain and lets the autopilot ap do the hands-on stuff.

Came down from the loft, made a cuppa liver poison, and realized the computing section of the control system ‘twixt my ears had come up with several points in need of some ponderin and pointin and prosecutin. Gonna be a ramble, but here we go:

Y’know . . . when self-servin, leftist-vote-seekin public servants go to such great tongue-cluckin and hand-wringin lengths to disarm law-abiding Americans “to prevent gun deaths,” you gotta wonder what they’re really worried about.

Could it be it ain’t that gun owners might go out and shoot innocent people but instead take aim at the politicians wastin their taxes, infringin on their freedoms, and rewritin the Constitution accordin to Alinsky?

The way Dummycrats see things, the Constitution is a roadblock instead of a road map. If they regain total power, before long we’ll be right back to where we were 243 years ago, shooting home-made weapons at government agents from behind trees and bushes.

Dims play board games differently from the way most people do. They have only two rules: 1. They get to roll the dice until the numbers come up the way they want them to, and 2. There are no other rules that apply to them, only to their opponents.

They want desperately to impeach a successful president who’s trying to expose a crime so that they can elect the guy who committed that crime. They’re not after the truth . . . if they were, Hillary would have been in prison long ago. They’re working harder to get rid of an elected PotUS than they are to throw out illegal aliens, drug dealers, child traffickers, and fake refugees.

What the Senate Rules Committee, AND the House UnAmerican Activities Commision SHOULD be investigating is the DNC to determine if it has any close ties to anyone in the country. Check this out.

Beyond the simple truth of their obsessive need to get rid of DJT simply because they hate him, they’re not goin about the bidness of “inquiry” and “investigation” by following any rules known to legitimate governance . . . what they’re doin is more like the behavior of a Stalin, or a Himmler, or a Mao, or a Kim.

Rep. Doug Collins said that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Schiff is holding impeachment inquiry hearings behind closed doors “[T]o only get out what they want to get out. They said, ‘We can’t win this in the public eye, so we’re going to take it behind closed doors,’” Collins said about Democrats on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

So, behind closed doors, they’ve heard testimony from a variety of sources which defeats their entire narrative, and basically stuff that should be made available to the public. But as long as it’s being kept strictly guarded, they can selectively edit and leak out only what supports their case, stuff that will persuade the people that Trump in fact had intent to break laws and commit “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Schiff has serious difficulty with truth, but he is a masterful leaker. In fact, that’s his forte. He has gone so far as chairman of the committee to ban Republicans from even attending the witness depositions, which are held in secret, and Pelosi won’t even honor tradition and put the impeachment issue to a vote in the House.

As I read somewhere yesterday, “this is a modern Scopes monkey trial in true banana-republic manner, and these sham proceedings are a national disgrace” [not a true quote but as close as I can remember].

And yesterday when Scalise tried to raise a parliamentary point concerning all that, the pro-tem speaker prostituted those very same parliamentary rules and turned off his microphone.

We’re wading into some very sour and over-ripe kimchee here. We’re poised on the edge of the slippery slope and headed for anarchy, or CWII. Keeping facts from the public and charging at flank speed toward a partisan impeachment that hasn’t even been authorized by the People’s House . . . that’s what we expect in NorKor, or Iran, or Somalia, or China . . . not the United States.

Schiff is making it up as he goes, Nadler has his head so far up his ass he can’t see what’s going on beyond his beltline, and Pelosi is posing, posturing, politicizing the whole schmeer in a giant administrivia game of Whack-a-Mole to keep her minions under control.

The point is that nothing good will come from all this foofarah . . . NOTHING. I DARE Pelosi, or Schiff, or Nadler, or Schumer, or Waters, or Green, or AOC or any of the rest of ‘em to show me how the country will be better off if Trump is impeached, much LESS if he’s convicted in the Senate and removed from office.

Nothin but pure spite, childish spite. No other human emotion promises SO much but rewards SO little as revenge. It boils down to moment’s satisfaction and a lifetime of unintended consequences.

And the goddam Dems are too goddam stupid to comprehend what might come of it. You’ve heard of the expression “don’t cut off your nose to spite your face” I’m sure. Well, the history of that saying might very well be a harbinger of their efforts.

In the 9th century, Viking marauders came upon a Christian enclave in Scotland. The nuns, fearing for their lives, got the brilliant idea of slicing off their noses so that the barbarian Viking men wouldn’t rape and then kill them.

Disgusted by the bloody faces of the women, the marauders simply locked them inside the monastery and burned the place to the ground.
