I’m sure it will come as no surprise than I’m giving the coveted AOTW Award to Mittens Romneycare. He and Susan Collins of Maine voted for witnesses which would enable the Dimocrats to Kavanaugh the impeachment trial in the Senate. Fortuantrely, they were the only two defectors so there will be no witnesses. I’m giving Collins a pass because she’s a RINO trying to win an election in a blue state. But Mittens “represents” one of the most conservative states in the union. Not only is he stabbing Trump in the back, but he’s stabbing in the back all of the voters in Utah who voted for him. What an asshole! As one of my readers wrote in an email, and I stole to tweet on Twatter, “Next time tie Mittens to the roof of the car and let the dog drive.”

Well . . . I still b’lieve Romney woulda been a far better potus than Soetoro. And since the House Dems have gone to such great efforts to prove to us that the nation tends to work better when Congress isn’t inventing new and exciting ways to stifle small business and spy on people’s private lives, I’d like to have seen a parade of witnesses in the Senate trial phase of DJT’s shampeachment.

In the nation’s best interests, tho, this farce needs to end soon, and Romney knows that. He fully understands how long the witness phase would last – months – and wanted to drag the “trial” out as close as possible to the genelec in a pathetic attempt to get back at Trump for dissing him.
He has it in his mind that the voting public will have forgotten all the impeachment hoohah by November if it all shuts down next week or so, but if the “bombshells” keep going off well past July 4th, or even better – Beyonce’s birthday (Sept 4th) – it might just create enuf suspicion to keep Orangeman from a second term.
I don’t agree with Mittens, ‘cuz I believe witnesses would’ve caused complete exoneration of DJT, not just simple acquittal. And, dragging it out for months would drag Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler thru so many mudholes and benjo ditches that THEY might not be re-elected, and THAT would indeed be good for the country.
Romney’s a bitter loser, trying to impress people with his past successes and maverick refusal to simply go along with the crowd. His seething anger about Trump’s treatment of both him and McCain is so all consuming that he forgets that he represents a state that’s gone Republican in every major election since Truman . . . except for 96 when it went for Slick.
