Blog question today is . . . “Is the cure worse than the disease and is Trump in on the plot?”
Here’s my answer:

O.K. First of all, with my pulmonary history, I’m likely a goner if the stuff gets into my system. But, I’ve had a good run, and you can’t just sit and worry about dying, ‘cause it’s gonna happen sooner or later no matter WHAT you do.
Now, that said, I don’t believe this is all a big plot of some kind . . . merely a mutation of a bug in bats that mastered the cross-species long jump. And believe me . . . the conspiracy theories are out there.
The most heinous is that it’s all a mechanism for culling the elderly population to reduce their drain on social services and benefits programs: i.e., they no longer contribute, and they drive up costs for health care and pension plans, so let’s get rid of ‘em.
And the second most scary, based on an existing paradigm, is Agenda 21, which a whole lotta people are in favor of – put people in kennels and corrals, preferably vertical ones, to preserve the environment: no individual travel, work from home, eat synthetic food, all that stuff.
Sometimes I get this ominous Twilight Zone tingle in which a fuzzy black-and-white déjà vu fragment pops into my consciousness of armed guys in uniform saying, “Don’t worry . . . we have a vaccine now, so get in the boxcar so we can take you for a nice disinfectant shower.”
Meanwhile, Pelosi and Rahm and Schumer and Clyburn as giddily pushing their own progressive wishlist, extorting the crisis by putting riders on relief legislation, riders which have absolutely nothing to do with remedying or preventing a recurrence of the infection.
It’s as if the virus has morphed again . . . this time into a stepstool giving libs just enough reach to get into the cookie jar while Mom’s busy tryin to sweep the cockroaches out of the kitchen.
I mean, good grief! “People are dying! We need nurses, hospitals, ventilators, medicines. Quick – let’s fund the Kennedy Center!!”
Of course it could turn out to be a blessing in some convoluted ways, such as showing people what life would be like in a socialist state where the shelves are empty and only the rich and powerful get the ventilators and hydroxychloroquine.
And . . . given a second term with even the slightest support from Congress, DJT might be successful in reviving domestic production of a whole lotta stuff we’ve become totally dependent upon east Asia for in the past 50 years.
No, I don’t b’lieve it’s all some kind of plot . . . merely the result of really bad judgment by Chairman Xi on how to handle the WetBat Lung Rot and the WHO, who were completely hoodwinked by his lies.
Throwing water into the fire under the boiler of the strongest economy this nation has seen since WWII was like the coach sticking his foot out and tripping the running back headed for a certain touchdown.
I am NOT confident that the US economy can recover completely. It’s like the docs told me about my frozen shoulder problem: We can repair it surgically, but you’ll never quite regain full strength, and you’ll very likely lose some range of motion.
And even if we get the vaccine and it all comes back on line before the stuff re-emerges next fall, it’s as if DJT personally developed a cure for cancer but the fraudstream media excoriates him for putting health-care personnel out of work.
In fact, that’s already happened in Nevada and Michigan with his comments on anti-malarial medicines, n’est ce-pas?
Ron, I ain’t sayin’ it’s been something intentionally unleashed on the world but there’s no denyin’ that some folks might be more comfortable seein’ us older types go away. Then again, they’re still collectin’ taxes from me and I’m sure that Denny ain’t too happy to write a check when he files quarterly.
I wish CBS’s ’60 Minutes’ would hire Ron to end the program like Andy Rooney used to do …… it would provide more factual information than the previous 58 minutes.

Excellent rant as always, I personally think for the future of this country two things have to happen.
First the voters have to recognize in Trump they have a genuine leader who has accomplished more in his first term then Obama, Bush &
Clinton combined promised let alone actually did. His re-election should be a landslide.
Second & this is up in the air the voters must do a clean sweep & vote a Republican Majority in the House & add more Republicans to their majority in the Senate.The Democrats have done nothing but to try & block real progress thru political obstruction to checkmate Trump
For some odd reason voters for years have stalemated Government by splitting their vote to support the situation we currently have. Real progress cannot ever be achieved if we have continue to have a built in division of control which always dooms progress from happening.
I believe if Trump is given a green light in the coming election we will benefit greatly as the BS stonewalling of Nonsense Nancy, Chuck the Smuck, SlowJoe & the rest of the do nothing Democrats will be removed from a position of power at least thru Trumps second term.
A review of political history should reveal to anyone who is capable of an honest review little to nothing of real value for the good of this country has been accomplished when the Democrats have been in control at least since Harry Truman.
I am proud to be a Conservative & the Party which has the most allegiance to Conservative belief is the Republican Party. I believe America has suffered under the three worst Presidents in the last hundred years with Obama being dedicated to destroying this country, Carter just being stupid & Clinton being successful at just one thing….unzipping his pants.

Don’t forget the Governors and Mayors, we need Rs across the board. Here in VA we went blue ’cause of all the darned yuppie snowflakes and illegals. Never through I’d see that happen.
At this point the economy will be hosed regardless of the ongoing stupidity of the various .gov agencies. Which in point of fact is fine with the commiecrat party. Most of the destroyed small businesses will not be coming back so the commiecrats see a win-win for their side. Piglousie and friends should be stood against a wall without blindfolds for what they have done to this country.
The only positive here is that the chances are good that Trump will be re-elected and maybe he will be able to find a larger trash-pump to bring into his next admin.
I don’t believe in cos piracy theories either about this. IMHO three major factors that POTUS considered when he handled the virus .
1. Our satellites and agents on the ground in China saw many more towns and cities effected by this virus- and much more unreported deaths.
2. All the Chinese ker-rap that we import with boats and people coming in from lots of non-Wuhan places that spread the virus during the height of their pandemic and before our closing of the borders and merchandise quarantines. And they were making our masks, ventilators and medicines.
3. The crappy health of the general American population and how to handle an abnormal increase at ERs. Every family in my social circle has some kind of medical condition- diabetes, asthma, heart conditions (treated surgically or with meds), hypertension, allergies, obesity, smoking, lung cancer, etc. The list goes on and on with conditions that have potentially increased the chance that you may become critical and sent to the hospital for care. And no protocols to handle the virus etc. Also Pres Trump saw from his experience with the Hurricanes how just un-prepared a state and the Feds were to deal with emergencies. Yep, we had ventilators and depleted and replaced them twice before this happened.
As of the reporting of the cause of death to Covid-19, with people that have these problems. I think this is probably 90% correct because, what are the chances that NOW, all of the sudden, the victims are dying from their pre-existing conditions? It is not possible to do an autopsy on everyone and why?
