Jethro Tull. Saw them twice with this lineup, which was their best. Don’t know why Anderson fired Evan and Palmer (the keyboard players). My friend George was a super Tull fan. He scored us good tickets both times we saw them. We sat in the 16th row at one of the concerts. On the tour following the release of Passion Play they played the entire album. Bummer. Didn’t really like the album so after listening them playing it we thought they would only play a few more songs. Wrong! After they finished playing Passion Play Anderson said, “Now for our next number.” They then proceeded to play for another hour. Anyhoo, here’s Aqualung. I had this album on 8 track and played the hell out of it.
great pic. saw them three times.
I once opened an 8-track cartridge, and to me it is a miracle that they worked at all. Even so, after awhile, the capstan would slip. Most of my music from the 60’s and 70’s are on vinyl LP’s, and I now have a digital turntable that converts them to MP3’s.
