AOTW 1-3-2020

First AOTW Award of 2020 and it has to be shared among almost all of the Dimocrat Party and their stenographers in the Fake News Media.

First up the attempted takeover of the American Embassy in Baghdad. The Dimocrats and the Fake News Media wanted this to be Trump’s Benghazi. In other words, they wanted people to die to make Trump look bad. This is how evil these people are. They root for our enemies. Trump showed them up by demonstrating what Obungler and Crooked Cankles failed to do in Benghazi. No one died.

The Iranians hoped this would be a repeat of the takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran. Trump showed that he was no Jimmah Carter and when he said he would hold Iran responsible for the attempted takeover he took out the mastermind of the attempt, Iran’s chief terrorist, Qassam Soleimani. Of course, the Dimocrats went bat shit crazy. They took the side of Iran and not the side of the United States. Trump’s strength is he gets the Dimocrats to show just how much they hate this country. They are a bunch of treasonous assholes and it’s not just Idiot Omar and Rancida Tlaib, it’s all of them, from Speaker Blinky on down.

Racist Pig Has Cancer

Civil rights icon Racist pig John Lewis announced over the weekend that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Oh noes! The entire political spectrum mourns. All of these people heaping praise on this petty little man makes me want to puke.

Of course you expect it of members of his own party like Hank “Guam is gonna tip over” Johnson who stated that Lewis was his mentor. Well that explains a lot.

Republicans had to chime in as well because if they didn’t they would be called a bunch of racists.

Even Neal Boortz tweeted that Lewis was a “kind and gentle man”.

Bullshit!

John Lewis is a race baiting racist pig. He’s a liar to boot.

I lost any respect I might have had for the man when he and the rest of the Congressional African Caucus walked through a Tea Party protest trolling for racist remarks. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t get any so civil rights icon racist pig John Lewis made up a story about being called “nigger” thirteen times. It didn’t happen. It was a lie.

Civil rights icon John Lewis got beat up walking across a bridge in Selma Alabama, the high point of his life, and has been living off of that ever since. He even goes back there every year to relive that episode, minus the beating of course. He leads a bunch of people across the bridge, many of them civil rights leaders, others to prove they’re not racists. Every year he gets to pretend he was as important as MLK.

Didja see what happened on CBS when they aired the story about his cancer? They showed a picture of Elijah Cummings. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was almost as funny as some bimbo on CNN interviewing Jesse Jackson and calling him Reverend Sharpton. I guess to liberals they all do look alike. But it’s easy to confuse Lewis and Cummings. Both of them look like bullfrogs.

No, I’m not rooting for him to beat cancer. I’m tired of his antics like staging a sit in on the House floor. After all rules don’t apply to civil rights icons like John Lewis.

Accepting the results of elections? Nope. Not for Lewis. He refused to accept the results of the 2016 election and thinks that Trump is an illegitimate president. So, he skipped the inauguration and the State of the Union speeches by Trump.

I have no use for this petty little man. He has reached his expiration date. I will shed no tears if he doesn’t beat cancer.

Home Again

I drove home today from Columbia South Carolina. Sorry I didn’t post anything Saturday (I did do boobage) but after a day of wine tasting and dinner at the Lafayette Inn it was time for football. Clemson finally got to play someone good.

Saturday was a beautiful day in Virginia. One of the wineries we visited had an upstairs tasting room so we sat outside and the owner brought the wine to us. He told us a story about how someone from Missouri who visited his winery called Norton wine the Ozark Cabernet. Norton is the state grape of Missouri. It originally came from Virginia. For the record, it tastes more like a Syrah than it does a Cabernet Sauvignon. Also, Hermann, where most of it is produced, is not really in the Ozarks. Anyhoo, later he told someone else from Missouri that someone had called it the Ozark Cabernet and that Missourian left in a huff. Obviously that person did not have a sense of humor. I’m from Missouri and I love that name for Norton.

More wine facts. During Prohibition many vines were uprooted. In Hermann Missouri, the crafty Germans planted corn around the vines to hide them. After Prohibition, wine production was ready to rock in Hermann. Many Missouri vines were shipped to Virginia. So, Norton started in Virginia, was taken to Missouri, and then went back to Virginia.

I’m not a big fan of Virginia reds. I do like some of the whites, which is what I buy on these trips. I normally buy six bottles, usually Vidal Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. They’re overpriced but I’m helping out the local economy. I hope some of the counties we visited were 2nd Amendment sanctuary counties.

As I said, we ate dinner at the Lafayette Inn. One of my readers, who lives nearby, recommended it and we’ve eaten there the last two trips. It is the site of an historic event and has a marker to commemorate it.

Virginia Wine Tasting Day 2

An actual day of wine tasting. We tasted a few good ones and I bought a few bottles. We had a very good tasting at Horton Vineyards. We were the only ones there. The lady doing he pouring was from France and was very knowledgeable. Duh! She was French. She was from the Loire Valley so she wasn’t a rude Parisian. She gave us a few extra pours.

Then it was off to Barboursville for tasting and lunch at Palladio which to me is the highlight of the trip. What did I have to eat I hear you ask? Funny you should ask. Here is what I ate.

Lonzino di Maiale con Radicchio, Pere e Formaggio Feta
Barboursville Raised Pork Lonzino
Roasted Pears, Radicchio, Feta, Pistachios & Sherry Vinaigrette

Barboursville Vineyards Vermentino Reserve 2017

Bistecca di Manzo alla Griglia con Budino di Pane e Fontina*
Grilled Beef Strip Loin
Rosemary-Fontina Bread Pudding, Braised Kale & Octagon Demi

Barboursville Vineyards Cabernet Franc Reserve 2017

Babà al Rum
Rum Babà
Golden Raisins, Pecans & Orange Cream

Barboursville Vineyards Paxxito 2015

They don’t scrimp on the servings. It’s such a large meal, my sister and I don’t bother to eat dinner. My sister is never able to finish her meal at the Bavarian Chef from our first night, so my BIL is able to eat her leftovers the next night.

Virginia Wine Tasting Day 1

Ruckersville VA.

It’s that time of year again where my sister, BIL, and I head off to the wilds of Virginia to taste some overpriced Virginia wines. This year we brought along one of my sister’s friends.

It was a beautiful drive up and it’s nice to see that the construction on I-77 through and north of Charlotte NC is finally finished. That’s been a mess as long a we’ve been doing this trip.

So we’re driving up I-81 and we came up on this car.

We were wondering if this was for real or if it was a joke. It was for real. You can’t make it out but there’s a little rainbow flag on the lower right. Oh man! I wish I would have had a MAGA hat so I could have waved it at the driver as we passed. It was a female and I was surprised she wasn’t wearing a pussy hat.

Tonight we ate dinner here.

What did I have I hear you asking? I had the Jager Schnitzel. Yummy. I had a nice Pilsner to go with it.
