I figgered Ron would have sumpin’ to say about the current madness.
H. J. H. F. C. !! Frightenin, ain’t it, how swiftly the left leapt on DJT as the primary motivating factor behind the weekend’s shootings in Dayton and El Paso. I mean, clearly this has been his plan since he announced his candidacy 4 years ago – mass shootings, especially by blacks shooting other blacks in Chicongo, Baltimoron, Detoilet, and St. Leroy.
And not to be outdone, Puerto Rico’s gift to the republic, AOC, chimed in to augment the “Orange Man Bad” mantra by saying, and I quote directly, “Video games aren’t causing mass shootings, white supremacy is.” Damn, I’m glad she cleared THAT up.
Good Fargin Grief! The only people responsible for the recent shootings, and in 99% of ALL mass shootings, are the goddam shooters themselves, hung up on some perceived slight or insult or deprivation which they nursed into full-blown freakin paranoia.
At their roots, these public slaughters aren’t directly related to or caused by politics. They’re just the end products of a self-indulgent, participation-trophy, free-shit-for-everybody, the-more-bizarre-you-are/the-better culture which is a petri dish for in-vitro snowflakes, screwballs, sociopaths, and self-loathers.
In the external extension of the womb, Mom’s basement, little pantywaists and ignorant clones feel safe in their on-line alternate realities where they can send out their frustration probes without having to bother with actual human contact and its unpredictable consequences.
There they can give free rein to their disturbed, diseased, and dangerous fantasies, hatreds, vengeances. The gargoyles they nurture in their imagined deprivation can be dispatched out into the artificial environment of twitterspace or Facebook . . . vicious little manifestations of their delusions which express their rage without having to deal with flesh-and-blood people who might not simply disagree but kick their worthless asses.
Their lives are controlled by addiction to touch-screens, Hot-Pockets, and Red Bull instead of family dinners, outdoors activities, and traditional role models. They’re loners stumbling around peering into their fones and listening to the most recent noisy radical preaching white guilt, racism, misogyny, climate apocalypse, “It’s Trump’s Fault,” and sanctuary cities.
Sensing their impotency and blaming it on society, they eventually conclude that a spectacular act of irrationality will bring them instant national recognition, their names and “manifestos” published, their pictures on TV . . . sweet success in the faux milieu in which they’ve immersed themselves.
Just as with the adrenaline rush experienced in a roller-coaster ride or scuba-diving afternoon in shark-infested waters, the human body is never so tuned up, so alert, so alive as when it’s confronted with the concept of its own death . . . so does the website warrior kill other people to enhance his feeling of being alive for that precious moment.
The twerp who blasts away at unarmed people is willing to trade the remainder of his going-nowhere life for those few minutes of power over others he believes might be having more fun in their lives than he is with his. He knows intellectually that he’ll die, most likely by return gunfire, for his moment in the spotlight, but he believes that he’ll become famous and immortal on film and archives and thumbdrives.
The REAL tragedy in all the mass shootings is the knee-jerk reaction by politicians to ban a perfectly innocent instrument that is used properly and safely by millions of Americans because a few times each year some severely damaged moron gets hold of a semi-auto long gun and learns how to operate it.
And the end result of that will be an unarmed populace which can be completely intimidated, oppressed, even enslaved by a corrupt government, exactly as what happened to Venezuela, once the 3rd wealthiest nation in the New World.
Also, as for wackos’ compelling need to slaughter people, we should look at Britain, particularly London, which made private ownership of firearms virtually impossible but now has hundreds of knife wounds and dozens of deaths so far this year.
The phenomenon of mass public killings is not going to go away even if every firearm in North America is confiscated and destroyed. We get our word “amok” from a quaint custom in the Philippines. When a man became so overwhelmed with grief, shame, debt, or other problem that he saw no way out, he grabbed a machete and began running through the village hacking people to death until someone finally knocked him down and cut him to pieces with his own weapon.
Look around and you’ll find that behavior kinda universal. Build up enough pressure on a guy and eventually you’ll reach his breaking point, and if he can’t get a gun, he’ll get a knife . . . or a bomb . . . or a chemical . . . or a bio-agent to kill people to achieve that immortality, that power, that moment of importance followed by eternal relief.
And as for its being Trump’s fault, I don’t remember anybody blaming Soetoro for causing the Boston Marathon bombing or the Orlando shooting. And I’m having a little trouble connecting white privilege to the intertribal slaughter by Boko Haram or the almost daily murders of blacks by blacks in major American cities.
Oh, well. Thassenuffadat. There’s this package of cookies and a fresh cup of coffee with my name on it.
