Many people have sent me this visual.
He doesn’t need a city. He has a whole country to destroy. He wants what happened to Detroit to happen to the rest of the country. He’s advocating the same policies that destroyed Detroit. Once again, after five years of failure on the economy, he sez he’s gonna focus on it. I guess the last pivot and focusing like a laser on jobs didn’t go so well so now he has to pivot and focus like a laser on the economy. So, how’s he gonna fix the economy? By making four speeches this week ’cause nothing works better to fix a problem, than making speeches on it. He was sidetracked by trying to turn the Zimmerman trial into a racist event, but now, he’s back on destroying the economy.
He reminds me of a project manager I used to work with at IBM. Every Wednesday, we used to have what I would call the Inquisition Meeting. In that meeting we would have to say what was coming up next week and if we were ready for it. Then, we would discuss problem records. This guy’s solution to every problem was a meeting. In fact, you could make him one of those dolls with the string on its neck that you would pull and it would speak. In his case, you would pull the string and it would say (in an Indian – dot not feather – accent), “We will have to hold a meeting on this.”
No Ramesh, we need to fix the fucking problem! I was in the mainframe group. We didn’t hold useless meetings, we fixed problems. The AS/400 group, which was run by an ex-VM mainframe programmer, was run the same way. The rest of the groups, RISC, desktop, network, et al, were run by the children (folks who were under 25 for the most part) who didn’t seem to understand their roles of support and problem solving. They had problems that went on for weeks with weekly meetings with the managers of the programs they supported. I think that sometimes those managers just got tired of the weekly meetings and gave up. We old school mainframe programmers closed our problem records in less than four hours. We didn’t deal with program managers, but directly with the instructors involved.
Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade has had five years to fix the economy that he “inherited”. His signature legislation, Obummercare, is a drag on the economy and has exacerbated unemployment. It’s a job killer. Now his HUD agency has come out with new housing directives. It’s gonna make it easier for the dregs of society to move into upscale neighborhoods and destroy housing values. In other words, Detroit on a larger scale.
If Obungler had a country, it would look like Detroit.
We’re doomed!

Denny, I think you mean “exacerbated UNemployment”.
cheers

Correcto. Will change.

I really enjoy your comments about the company you once worked for because by closing my eyes & thinking about the company I once worked for,we could have been on the same floor in offices within speaking distance. I think this is why Dilbert is so universally enjoyed…..the stupidy & ignorance portrayed there is taken from real life. Anyone who ever worked in the middle level of engineering has worked with or suffered through their daily routine surrounded by educated blithering idiots.
I suppose we should feel better knowing a Chicago Street Thug activist /community organizer with a secret ivy league education is just as stupid as our former work associates…..But I don`t!
At my age I am just waiting for the train wreck & prepared to retreat to my mountain hideaway.
dudley1 – Before I let the cat out of the bag as to where I worked, I had people claim that I worked where they worked. Only two people guessed IBM. One of them worked for Big Blue and looked me up in the company directory and sent me an IBM email.
The other googled some euphemisms that I had used in describing some of our layoff programs and he came up with IBM as well. Scott Adams once noted that many people thought that he must work for their companies. It’s amazing how stupid management is at tech companies. One of my managers even had Dilbert cartoons on his bulletin board and didn’t realize Adams was poking fun of people just like him.
I’m easin off the comments today. Yesterday was my birthday so to celebrate my wife and I had the best sex EVAH.
Mainly, because we were 150 miles apart at the time.
Well, Happy Birthday there Toejam. Birthdays is good; you want to have all of ’em you can.
And I understand about the “best sex EVAH”; I recently celebrated my 20th Anti-versary.
You’re right, Denny. You’re always right. I remember before this idiot got into office, you’d labeled him a black Jimmy Carter. Actually, he’s much worse, but you knew what was coming.
And you’re right again: we’re doomed. This idiot can’t do anything right. And the American people voted him into office TWICE. I often wonder why people come across like idiots when I see them in public. It’s because they are.
I hope you’re feeling better, Denny. I hope you prosper and live to be 100+. We need you.
A prediction. Today starts the Presidents fifth or sixth pivot on the economy, and in a series of “significant” speeches he will outline his “New” focus on the economy. We will hear of his ‘New and bold’ initiatives to turn the economy around and save the middle class. It is my prediction that by the end of the day we will have the entire transcript via audio clips of all of his previous economic speeches. We will hear about “investments” on green jobs and infrastructure. Investments in High Speed Rail, and renewable energy, massive new “investment” in retraining for 21st Century job skills for the poor, and a “realignment of spending priorities” (ie. cut defense). He will call on the Repubs to reach across the isle and help him restart the engine of the economy.
The dims always blamed GW Bush for driving the economy into the ditch, and now Obama will lay out his “plans” to press harder on the throttle while turning the wheel away from the road. All of his ‘New ideas’ have done is to keep the car going further in to the ditch. “But this time they will work, I promise”. Just more Yada,Yada, Blah, Blah, Yada, Yada, For the children!
Roger – You’ve got that right. It will be SSDD (Same Shit Different Day) all over again. Once again he will advocate policies that have kept the economy from recovering. Tax, spend, and borrow. In other words, it will be the same old steaming pile of shit that he will claim tastes good.
That is exactly what it was. Recycled campaign stump speeches. The exact same phrases and cadence, he even started the address with his patented shout outs and platitudes. This man only knows how to campaign, he has no concept of governance or leadership. He basically gave the same speech that he gave to the same audience in the same venue last year during his re-election campaign.
Ill bet that all of his further speeches in this series are exactly the speech, only the venue will change. Speaking of venue, he had a very friendly audience of political sycophants. This man does not have a serious bone in his body. His ego is bigger than the great outdoors.
I wonder if he has someone under the podium giving him a blow job. That’s what he is doing to the country. Maybe that’s why Mooshel looks the way she does. Too many blow jobs.
