George Zimmerman was found innocent of killing a thug. Let the riots begin! Look for the gummint to file a civil suit against Zimmerman. This shit ain’t over. The Dimocrats are gonna use this to get the blacks to the polls in 2014.

You know what sounds good right now, a bag of skittles. mmmm… Thugs here’s a tip, attack someone with a gun, and you’ll get what’s coming to you. End of the lesson.
I have a few friends that are of African American descent. And I just shake my head seeing some of the comments coming from their friends. My friends are upset with George going free, but we have talked a bit about this. And even they say, sooner or later. The riots are just going to make things worse. I hope their aren’t. But I have a feeling it’s going to go down.
I am pleased that the jury followed the law and not some misplaced feeling of social justice. Treyvon attacked Zimmerman from the dark, struck the first blow, and continued to pummel him while he was on the ground. Treyvon brought skittles to a gun fight. These folks need to understand that every person they consider a victim may indeed be armed. Zimmerman did not approach the kid with his gun drawn, no he waited until there was a fight, he was losing that fight and used the gun to stop it. Call it a lucky shot, or unlucky if you like. Lots of people survive a single 9 mm gunshot. Treyvon took one through the pump and that is always fatal. Too bad the kid died, but fighting with someone you don’t know is a very dangerous proposition. Like all guns are loaded, I assume all men are armed . Punching people for no good reason will get you shot, especially in places like Florida, Texas and most Urban neighborhoods.
We are lectured that women see “the whole picture” while men are more focused on specifics, but I still got a problem with an all-female jury, though I’m still happy with the verdict. (I would also have the same reservations with an all-male jury.)
Ladies, you’re gonna hate me for this, but I gotta ask the question: were Zimmerman’s attorneys more handsome and attractive than the prosecution’s attorneys, and does that have any bearing on the jury’s verdict?
I also wonder how many of the jurists are property owners living in similar neighborhoods with similar concerns, and therefor identify with Zimmerman’s point of view, even if only subconsciously.
This case was not just about race, but also class and gender, the Left’s Holy Trinity.
The fix is still in. Obama and Holder are going to bring federal charges and pursue this until Zimmerman is destroyed. The people who decried lynchings by the KKK have become just like the Klan and have a lunch mob mentality.
Right now I’m listening to the commies on CNN say that the jury did not find Zimmerman innocent but only not guilty, trying to make the point that Zimmerman is not guilty only under the legal definition, but he is really guilty in fact. Under our legal system, you are either guilty or not guilty. Juries are not given a choice to declare anyone innocent.
America’s culture has gone from rugged individualism, responsibility and hard work to complete suckitude in 50 years. I’ve watched it happen in my own lifetime. I am 57 now, so I was old enough at age 7 to take inventory of a free country. It is like taking a knife in the heart.
Freedom was coughing up blood in the 60s, but you could still get a glimpse of it from time to time, and it was brilliant. Hardly any left now. It’s all social justice, not equal justice. And a bunch of gimme pigs, demanding my earnings because they’re to frickin’ lazy to work, or even bother to learn how.
KarlU,
I’m 56 and I do not recognize this nation anymore. I remember my Father told me when I graduated from high school in 1975. He said “your Mother & I have lived thru the best years America will ever see”. Was he prophetic or what??
It was a helluva nice place to be a part of until the seeds of mental illness, AKA, extreme liberalism were planted in the decade that destroyed America, the 1960’s.
I won’t mind dieing in a few decades from now for the great USA will be completely dead by then I fear.
To be honest, it seems quite possible to me that, in the land of objective reality, Zimmerman bears some responsibility for a man being killed. I don’t mean murder or even manslaughter. But Zimmerman was issued a gun; if he was less than prudent in approaching a suspect (i.e., a bit of a “hot dog”), then he shouldn’t have been in that position. I’m not saying he was a hot dog; I’m saying if. We can’t know, and there’s certainly reasonable doubt. And Trayvon was apparently a nasty kid, and he messed up in the wrong way and under the wrong circumstances, and most likely triggered his own death. A young wannabe gangster, but did he deserve to die? He might have grown up to be a nasty man, or he just might possibly have come to some maturity. Who knows? Anyway, Zimmerman certainly had to be acquitted, but I do wonder how God would judge this…
Being an Atheist I’m my God so I’ll reply to your question. When your time is up your time is up. It was Martin’s turn in the barrel not Zimmerman’s. Things could have turned around, Martin could have had the piece and Zimmerman might just been out for a stroll.
Or let’s consider another extreme. Zimmerman was packing a 1911 Colt without one in the pipe. Everyone knows you gotta use TWO hands to jack a .45 cal ACP into the chamber. Struggling, Zimmerman can’t do the deal and a younger stronger Martin crushes Zimmerman’s larynx. Considering the facts presented Martin would have plead self-defense and walked.
Life is strange on how things go down. We are merely Momma Nature’s pawns in a world where there are no rules when it comes to certain “events”. Only the laws of chaos rule in those events.
Hell, who know what the future holds. We just have to deal with the here & now.
I predict Zimmerman will be sued in a civil court and the Martins will be granted a 6 figure amount. And there’ll always be a bounty on Zimmerman’s head. The dude better try for a “witness protection program” and start all over again with a new name. At his age life is gonna suck for fucking ever.
” in the land of objective reality, Zimmerman bears some responsibility for a man being killed”
That’s not “objective reality”. That’s a fantasy world. “Well, if Zimmerman….”
If he’d not bought a gun, if he’d not driven that way, if he’d remembered what he needed at the store when he was there instead of running out at the last minute….
There’s no end to the “if he…” You cannot ever come to an end of those for any situation.
Which is why the only “if he” matters is those at the very end that apply to the situation.
And there, the only “if he” that applies to the death of Martin is “If he hadn’t punched Zimmerman in the nose, and then started beating his head into the concrete….”
George Zimmerman behaved more prudently then 99.8% of the cops we have on the street. A lot of our law enforcement could take lessons in restraint from him. A friend on farcebook called George a Barney Fife. Ok, fine, would you rather live next to Barney Fife, or a MMA gangsta wannabe? I’d take Barney. Heck, I’d take a hundred Barneys over one Travon.
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.[1]
So how would the US govt have the right to bring a civil suit against Zimmerman?
Also, in Florida under the gun laws the family of the deceased CAN NOT bring a civil suit against Zimmerman since he was found to be not guilty. That law came in with the the stand your ground law. They created that law because a hardship was caused to the shooters with all the am-bu-lance chasers suing.
In the ’70s I was working in the Pan Am building over Grand Central Station. I’m on lunch and I notice a guy following me. (I have no idea why.) I went through a door with no windows in a public place and when the guy came through the door I told him to stop following me or I would beat the crap out of him. I never saw him again.
Martin did not warn Zimmerman and give him a chance to retreat. Instead he said why are you following me, cold cocked him and started beating on him. That is why, tragically, Martin is dead.
I don’t understand why the defense attorney or any pundit, that I have heard, did not bring up that fact.
In the video shown where Trayvon was purchasing the drink and Skittles it shows him pocketing a bill or some bills. Where did this money go? The report that the police created shows he only had $0.10 in his pockets. If you are on your back getting beat up and you are hit in the nose how can the blood run down your face? The blood shown in the photograph on Zimmerman’s face would only have appeared like that after he stood up.
Too bad all this wasn’t brought up.
You know what sounds good right now, a bag of skittles. mmmm… Thugs here’s a tip, attack someone with a gun, and you’ll get what’s coming to you. End of the lesson.

The angry gods can only be appeased by a political prisoner. Or, failing that, a human sacrifice.

Thanks autocorrect. Lunch mob s/b lunch mob.
It did it again! Lynch. LYNCH! Not lunch.

Under our legal system, you are either guilty or not guilty. Juries are not given a choice to declare anyone innocent.
And if they had been, they would have. The only criminal involved was Martin. All the rest are accessories after the fact, and that list is loooong.
A better way to say it is that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, Zimmerman was and is innocent.

Well you came to the correct person, T.H.
Being an Atheist I’m my God so I’ll reply to your question. When your time is up your time is up. It was Martin’s turn in the barrel not Zimmerman’s. Things could have turned around, Martin could have had the piece and Zimmerman might just been out for a stroll.

HEH, I just saw a video of Canadians rioting over Zimmerman’s verdict.
Of course the commentator did mention that several were wearing turbans. Canada? Why should they care?
I can’t vouch for the location but here it is:

That didn’t take long. The video is gone.

Cause that’s the way it’s done in certain “cultures”.
No warning just get in the first shot and hope it does the job.
Ole Trayvon’s didn’t.
His bad!

It’s amazing how divided this country has become.
On one hand, you have people who watch the news.
On the other, you have people who know what’s happening.
