Misplaced Priorities

I think Ron is on to sumpin’ here.

Lemme see if I got a handle on our national priorities here:

Hmmmm . . . . . well, we can’t seem to solve

Our border problem
The terrorist problem
The Middle East problem
The Snowden problem
The Benghazi problem
The municipal bankruptcy problem
The drug problem
The gang problem
The IRS problem
The NSA problem
The national debt problem
The budget problem
The Iranian nuke problem
The NorKor problem
The energy problem
The housing problem
The economy problem.

So, what major issues are our mass media working on?

Uh, well, there’s the
Kaycee Anthony problem
The Jody Arias problem
The George Zimmerman problem
The Paula Deen “N” word problem
The royal baby delivery sweepstakes problem
The royal baby name problem
And finally, the problem with Anthony’s wiener.

Little goddam wonder that

The dollar continues its downward spiral toward the lira threshold
Our prestige continues its downward spiral toward the France threshold
Our reputation continues its downward spiral toward the Mexico threshold
Our economy continues its downward spiral toward the Argentina threshold
Our entertainment continues its downward spiral toward the Roman threshold
Our education continues its downward spiral toward the Alfred E. Neuman threshold
Our security continues its downward spiral toward the Afghanistan threshold
Our politicians’ behavior continues its downward spiral toward the Barnum & Baily threshold
Our ethics behavior standard continues its downward spiral toward the Balkan threshold
Our moral standard continues its downward spiral toward the Coliseum threshold
Our future continues its downward spiral toward the Three Stooges threshold.

Yep! That pretty much sums it up. Meanwhile, Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade has taken time out from inflaming racial tensions over the St. Trayvon of Skittles episode to pivot once more back to the economy, sumpin’ he was elected to fix five years ago. Remember Hope and Change?

  1. Here’s a question for you all. How many American citizens protesting in the nations streets would it take before the Egyptian Army removes Barack Obama from office? He is the most criminal president in our history. He has committed at least three impeachable crimes, by my count and all of them are violations of the constitution. He is the biggest liar ever to hold the office, and that includes some pretty good lairs.

    • Politicians have been violating the Constitution since at least Lincoln. It was a slow burn until the 16th Amendment (income tax) and now in the postmodern era it’s in its final death throes.

The very same assholes who insist the Constitution is a “living document” are the ones who killed it.

      • This is an important point. With the introduction of the income tax amendment, we lost the 4th and 5th protections against search-and-seizure and self-incrimination and innocent-until-proven-guilty. Or, to be precise, I should say that ordinary citizens lost those protections. Axe murderers and rapists and the like are still protected.

  2. On the plus side, Obama made it harder for Jews to build houses in the capital of Israel, and made it easier for a man to marry another man. Could any reasonable person argue that that isn’t progress?

  3. “Could any reasonable person argue that that isn’t progress?”

Depends on what your progressing towards as opposed to what you WANT to progress towards.
