Shawn, they video because of drunk driving, kidnapping, car theft, etc. You should have seen all the video captured of that meteorite that hit Russia a couple months ago. Unlimited video–too much to watch, really.
On another note, isn’t it amazing how tough these people are? How many climbed out of their cars seconds after being hit? It reminds me of those two Mig-29 pilots that collided and ejected at an airshow. They barely survived, but lit up a couple cigarettes after unstrapping their parachutes. Then they walked around and chatted with the crowd. You can see it on YouTube.
