Lafayette Louisiana

Yep! I’m on the road again. Got tied up with three accidents today. They had four lanes closed on I-285 this morning due to an accident. I forgot how much fun it was driving in Atlanta rush hour traffic. Then, when I got down to I-10, they had two accidents there which delayed me. I still made it to Lafayette by 4:30.

We’re having Camp Blownstar in September this year. The organizer did this so it wouldn’t be as hot as it is in late June when we usually have it.

I see that Starbucks has decided to be a gun free zone target rich environment. OK shooters. Not to worry. You can shoot up any Starbucks you want. The medical center where all of my doctors are used to have a sign stating that it was gun free. Someone finally realized, after one of the mass shootings that have occurred in this country, that this was a welcome sign to a deranged person with a gun. The sign is no longer there.

We recently had a kidnapping in Atlanta of a 14-year-old girl. She was released unharmed. Guess who the kidnappers were? Yep! You guessed it. It was three more of Obungler’s “sons”. His “sons” sure have been busy lately haven’t they?

Gonna get to the ranch tomorrow. Not sure if I’ll be doing any posting this weekend. Last year the wifi wasn’t very good.

Walgreens just dumped 160,000 employees into Obummercare

CBS reports this morning that Walgreens is altering its health care plan for 160,000 workers due to Obamacare:

The plan, as CBS explains, is to protect the company from rising health care costs. Now who will cover the costs? The employees.

Too bad. So sad.

In short, the move is to protect Walgreens from Obamacacre. “Rising health-care costs and a climate of change brought about by the new federal health law are prompting American corporations to revisit the pact they’ve long had with employees over medical benefits. … Aside from rising health-care costs, the company cited compliance-related expenses associated with the new law as a reason for the switch,” as the Wall Street Journal reports.

Interestingly, a couple months ago Walgreens announced that it would help “promote” Obamacare. “The nation’s largest drugstore chain is partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield to promote ObamaCare before the new insurance exchanges open on Oct. 1. Walgreens and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) launched a website Wednesday and promised to distribute brochures about ObamaCare at Walgreens stores around the country,” the Hill reported in July.

I wonder how many of those Walgreens’ employees voted for Obungler and Dimocrats? If they did, they screwed themselves. How’s that hopey changey stuff workin’ out for ya?

The Cleveland Clinic is cutting their 2014 budget by $330 million and these budget cuts include job losses. The clinic has roughly 42,000 workers The layoffs are expected to be across the board, some workers including doctors will be losing their jobs or forced into early retirement. The company said they have not made any “overall layoffs” in the past 11 years and the majority of the 2014 budget cuts are due to the upcoming implementation of ObamaCare.

“To prepare for healthcare reform, Cleveland Clinic is transforming the way care is delivered to patients. Over the past several years, we have had an ongoing focus on driving efficiencies, lowering costs, reducing duplication in services and enhancing quality to make healthcare affordable to patients.

Although we have made progress, we need to further reduce costs to the organization by $330 million in 2014. We are carefully evaluating all aspects of our system to accomplish this. Some of the initiatives include offering early retirement to 3,000 eligible employees, reducing operational costs, stricter review of filling vacant positions, and lastly workforce reductions.

Through these changing times, we are focused on providing the highest quality of care to our patients in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.”

This just shows stupidity is not only for the black members of Congress.

Pretty much sez it all. I read in one report that the Navy Yard nutjob, who, if Obungler had a son, would look like him, used an Ar-15 shotgun. An Ar-15 shotgun? WTF? These guys are clueless. The LSM doesn’t care about the Second Amendment. Their endgame is outlawing all weapons, one gun at a time. And remember, the LSM is the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party, so don’t believe those “moderate” Dimocrats, who say they are not anti-gun. If they are Dimocrats, they don’t believe in the Second Amendment no matter what they say. Remember, the last time Dimocrats controlled both houses of Congress, they managed to ram Obummercare down our throats.

It didn’t take long for the usual suspects blaming guns for the latest act of violence. That effete British snob, Piers Morgan was right there blaming this mass shooting on guns. So was one of the four hags from California, Diane Feinstein, out there blaming guns as well. The other three California shrieking harridans are, of course, Maxine Waters, Barbara “Don’t call me ma’am. I’ve worked so hard to get where I am” Boxer (Her hard work consisted of laying on her back so her husband would help finance her political career), and ex-Speaker Blinky. I expect to see them all around a caldron saying, “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.” They’ve all done their part in participating in the downfall of America and destroying the American way of life. Thanks California for sending these traitors to Congress.

But is it the guns that we should ban? Nope. Guns don’t just jump up and shoot people. People shoot people. And who are the people most likely to shoot other people? It’s young black men. And who are most of the victims? Other black men, and innocent black bystanders in the black community caught in the crossfire.

So, instead of banning guns, maybe we should ban young black dudes. Hey, it makes about as much sense as banning guns.

Let’s take a page from the movie Escape From New York (which was mostly shot in St. Louis). Let’s build a big ol’ wall around Detoilet. It’s pretty much beyond hope anyway. When a black dude is convicted of any crime involving a gun, he gets shipped off to Detoilet, with all of the other black offenders. The inmates can elect their own gummint. It will be black run of course, since Detoilet is a triumph of black Dimocrat policies and black Dimocrat leadership since 1967. We might even throw some food over the walls for them. There is enough vacant land, though, they can grow their own food. We’ll even supply them with electricity.

The nice thing about this is it will not be capital punishment on our part, since we’ll just put the feral black dudes there. They can kill each other. Maybe we can give them some guns and ammunition to facilitate the process.

Of course, this is just tongue in cheek on my part, but it makes about as much sense as most of our gun laws and would do more to stop homicides than trying to outlaw guns.

I heard on the news on my way home from the doctor’s office this afternoon that the Navy Yard shooter was from Texas. He had also shot a bullet into his apartment’s ceiling back in Texas. Must be a cowboy, right? Guess what wasn’t mentioned?
