I watched the Gentry GOP thrust an insane loser named McCain down our throats, a man who’d come within a hair of leaving the GOP entirely just a few years before. I watched as the Marxist legions, led by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama, twisted the Constution and congressional rules to pass in the dead of night the most tyrannical power grab in U.S. history, Obamacare. I watched a Bush appointee to the Supreme Court twist the law and the constitution to pretend that Obamacare was constitutional.
I watched the conservative grass roots rise up in 2010 and retake control of the House, and then I watched the establishment GOP do everything in its power to destroy the very base that had led and made possible the uprising.
I watched as the same GOP establishment found the only candidate it had who could not run against Obamacare, the most hated piece of legislation in America, and I watched this inevitable loser lose, after I’d debased my own principles by voting for the wretch.
I heard Johnny Maverick McRINO on the radio yesterday actually bragging about stabbing his fellow Republicans in the back. Thanks to him and his fellow RINOs a deal was struck without the Dimocrats making one concession. Not one! What’s the point in having the power of the purse, as the House does, if you’re too gutless to stand on your principles (the Stupid Party has principles?) to exercise that power? This has been a hallmark of the Stupid Party. Newt Gingrich led them to victory in 1994 and took over the House of Representatives for the first time in a generation. It didn’t take long for the GOP establishment to stab him in the back. The Tea Party led to another House takeover only to have Senate RINOs like McRINO, stab them in the back and spit on the base of the party. It’s always Republicans who “reach across the aisle”, never Dimocrats.
We’re doomed! We are past the point of no return and sliding down the slope to oblivion. And the Stupid Party is just as culpable as the Dimocrats. They obviously prefer being a minority party.
To add to your dissertaion above: Last night’s voting was a pure debacle for all right-thinking Americans. And what is even mor galling, at least to me, is that 87 so-called “Republicans” voted along Democrat Party lines. some black congressman or news commentator (don’t know his name) came on and said the the Republican Party has absolutely no standing any more and everyone should be Democrats, that Republicans don’t even belong in any political arena. I don’t use the N-word much, but this guy is truly one.
Way back in another life, in 1954 or 1955, when I was in the Navy and on shore leave in Seattle, some friends and I were on First Avenue and a pack of black guys came up to us and one asked what we thought of blacks. One of the guys I was with said, “I don’t mind blacks, but I hate a fucking nigger. Which are you?” And the brawl was on. Luckily the Shore Patrol got there before the city cops did and it was broken up.
Like I posted here a few days ago, our Congress is in a terminal state of “Yassuh, Massa. Whatever you say, Massa” mode, Dumbocrats and Republicans alike. What ever the Ayatollah Obama wants, the Ayatollah Obama gets. Unless the Republican Party actually finds a back-bone and some balls, we are collectively doomed and that guy last night will be proven right.
Those 87 RINOs who voted along with the Dumbocrats desperately need to be given the boot nes fall, and som true Republican Conservatives put in their places. And if that fails, then Madame La Guillotine needs to erected on the National Mall. And used.
