He’s Got A Point

Liberal Homophobe Alec Baldwin is pissed.

On Tuesday, hours after he was reportedly fired from MSNBC for an off-set anti-gay rant, Alec Baldwin lashed out at the network for terminating him while not disciplining Martin Bashir, who suggested on air that someone should defecate and urinate in former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s mouth.

Baldwin’s remarks were made off-the-cuff, while Bashir’s were scripted and produced.

Welcome to Liberal Land Alec, where if you’re white you’re fair game even if you are a liberal. You’re not a “preferred species”.

In an interview with Gothamist, Baldwin exclaimed, “Martin Bashir’s on the air, and he made his comment on the air!”

But Bashir insulted a white conservative woman. She’s fair game. You made anti-gay remarks. You got away with it the first time. They gave you a mulligan. But then you screwed up and did it again. I see Samuel L. Jackson is now doing your credit card commercials. Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many takes they had to do before he could do it clean and not say “motherfucker” as in “What’s in your motherfuckin’ wallet, motherfucker?”

Baldwin then said he disputed the “half the comment I made… if I called him ‘c*cksucking maggot’ or a ‘c*cksucking motherf*cker’… ‘fa*got’ is not the word that came out of my mouth.”

Nice try, Alec. Put some burnt coal on your face and you can get away with it.

On the other hand, Bashir has not even attempted to rationalize or justify his vile remarks from two weeks ago and profusely apologized for them, saying his comments were “wholly inappropriate” and “offensive.”

But he did not get disciplined because he was not a white male and everyone at MSNBC agreed with him. It wasn’t until there was a firestorm that he apologized.

Palin’s PAC, SarahPAC, wrote a letter to MSNBC President Phil Griffin and NBC News President Deborah Turness, which Breitbart News exclusively obtained, pointing out MSNBC’s hypocrisy and asking what discipline it will take against Bashir.

None. Next question.

“You fired Don Imus for offensive language in describing the Rutgers University Women’s Basketball team, you suspended Alec Baldwin, and yet nothing has happened to Mr. Bashir,” the letter, which was written after MSNBC had initially suspended Baldwin for two weeks, reads. “Are we to assume then, that disciplinary procedures at your network take place based on the target of the remarks rather than the remarks themselves?”

Yes. Next question. Also Bashir is brown. Baldwin is white.

The letter concludes by saying, “Americans deserve to know that your network doesn’t condone violent and hateful rhetoric directed at anyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or political persuasion.”

But it does. Conservative blacks are fair game, because they’re not really black. Conservative women are fair game because they don’t believe in abortion, for just one reason, and to feminists they’re fair game. How dare Sarah Palin not abort her disabled child!

Other media observers from Harvard, Pew Research, and TV Newser have also blasted MSNBC for its hypocrisy.

Newser’s Gail Shister said Bashir should be suspended. Alex S. Jones, director of Harvard’s Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy, said MSNBC should have suspended Bashir “at the very least” and noted that MSNBC’s inaction says that the network “tolerates this escalation of vulgarity.”

It not only tolerates it, it encourages it. Why else would Lawrence O’Donnell have a program? Why else would Ed “Laura Ingraham is a right wing slut” Schultz have a program? Did you see liberals try to get advertisers to drop him like they tried to get Rush Limbaugh’s advertisers to drop him when Rush called Sandra Fluke (Does it really rhyme with fuck?) a slut? The only differences were Sandra Fluke is a slut and a liberal. Laura is not a slut and she is a conservative. Conservative women are fair game.

Why would noted anti-Semite Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Arson Sharpton have a show? He can pretty much say anything he wants since he’s another preferred species.

Amy Mitchell, director of the Pew Research Center’s Journalism Project, asked, “If the network doesn’t take any action, what precedent is being set?”

Conservatives are fair game, even gay conservatives. Even black conservatives. Even female conservatives.

Former MSNBC hosts the network previously suspended or terminated , like David Shuster and Don Imus, have condemned the network’s hypocrisy and double standards, with Imus simply saying in disbelief to MSNBC President Phil Griffin, “Come on, man!”

As I have said many times, if it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all. MSNBC is simply demonstrating that over and over and over again. Welcome to the world of white conservatives Alec. This should be a teachable moment but you will not learn anything from it. You’ll still be a flaming lib.

Isn’t it fun watching a liberal hoisted upon his own petard and getting eaten by his own kind? More schadenfreud. Seems to be a lot of that going around lately.

  1. So what was worse, Baldwin’s anti-gay slur, or his 1998 rant on Conan when, in reaction to Clinton’s impeachment, he said: “If we were in another country … we would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families, for what they’re doing to this country.”

    • He was talking about killing Republicans so that is “protected speech” and he was “exercising his First Amendment rights”. Now if he was talking about doing it to liberals, liberal women, liberal blacks, or liberal gays, then he would be evil. Like I said, “If it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.”

  2. Now we find out that his rant was a scripted, produced segment. His words wre not a spontaneous outburst during a heated exchange with a guest. His words were in his TelePrompTer. Either he, or one of his writer/producers wrote a script and put it into the teleprompter for him to read. This makes his words the property of MSNBC and we can assume they agree with them. The only good thing about this is that the dozen or so people who heard them are unable to leave their mothers basements and cause further trouble.
