The asholliness struck close to home this week. It’s was Atlanta’s own King Family who have been leeching off the legacy of MLK ever since he died. All of the kids are pretty much worthless, as was his widow, the “sainted” Coretta. She was just as bad as the kids, playing the grieving widow, but she didn’t fail in living off her husband’s legacy. He had “a dream”. Coretta and the kids had a scheme. Every chance they could get, they had their hands out making people pay for the privilege of using his words and his writings.

The two sons, Dexter and MLK III (AKA Marty Three Sticks) milked the King Foundation for outrageous salaries while letting his memorial go to ruin. Now, they’re suing their sister because they want to sell his Bible and his Nobel Peace Prize and she doesn’t. I guess they’ve pretty much sold off everything else.

I’ve read this many places lately. Don’t know where it came from.

In light of Social Security “running out of money”, how come welfare doesn’t run out of money? In the case of Social Security, people actually paid into it. Welfare? Nope!

Think about it. Also think about the record spending for Food Stamps. Yep! We pay more than ever for the Food Stamp program. And David Gregory wants to give Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade credit for “rescuing the economy”?

If he “rescued the economy” why are a record number of Americans on Food Stamps?

If he “rescued the economy” why is unemployment still high? The only reason unemployment dropped below 7% is many people gave up looking for work.

If he “rescued the economy” why do he and the Dimocrats want to once again extend unemployment benefits?

If he “rescued the economy” why is the CBO telling us that Obummercare is a “job killer”.

If he “rescued the economy” why are companies turning full time jobs into part time jobs? That’s easy. Obummercare.

If he “rescued the economy” why are a record number of Americans on Social Security Disability? Because many disabled people gave up looking for work and went on disability instead.

David Gregory is a liberal millionaire who lives in the DC bubble and was totally unaffected by the recession and the Obumbler “recovery”.

The U.S. economy created a disappointing 113,000 new jobs in January, the Labor Department reported Friday. Analysts expected nonfarm payrolls to increase by 185,000 jobs last month.

I’m sure we’ll hear the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party say this was “unexpected”. But there is “good news” that they’ll crow about.

The unemployment rate fell again to 6.6 percent. the lowest level since October 2008 even as more Americans entered the labor force. Unemployment has fallen from a post-recession high of 10 percent, reached in October 2009. In December, it fell steeply to 6.7 percent from November’s 7.2 percent.

And why did it fall? Because more people gave up looking for jobs. Yannow, that “three letter word, J-O-B-S”, that VP Gaffemeister told us about and that Oblamebush has pivoted to so many times in his five years in office, when he wasn’t concentrating “like a laser” on them.

January’s disappointing results compounded a weak report in December when a much-lower-than-expected 74,000 jobs were created. It was revised upward by just 1,000 jobs Friday.

More “unexpected” news.

Have you ever wondered about the argument that the AGW crowd uses when they say that 97% of scientists believe that AGW is real? Yeah, me too. This site’s pet liberal, Robin Palm, who, by the way, has a Masters Degree used it in comments on one of my AGW posts. Also noted scientist, Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Arson, put on a white lab coat one night on his MSDNC show and made fun of us AGW deniers and spouted the 97% statistic.

So where did this statistic come from? Don Surber, who is a real journalist, has the answer.

Adding insult to injury is global warming may be one of those cargo cult sciences that is not based on the scientific method, which physicist Richard Feynman warned us about in 1974.

Harold Lewis, the late professor emeritus of physics at Princeton, said in 2009, “Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life.”

But activists say 97 percent of scientists believe global warming is a threat, as if science were based on a show of hands.

The number comes from a study of 11,944 peer-reviewed articles from 1991 to 2011 by a team led by Professor John Cook of the University of Queensland.

Cook and company found 7,930 (or 66 percent) of the papers had no conclusion one way or another about man-made global warming.

However, Cook reported it as 97 percent because of the papers that had an opinion, 97 percent agreed with him.

Thus 32 percent became 97 percent.

Shady math hovers over global warming. When a treasure trove of private emails among climate researchers became public, the world learned that they fudge their data.

“Hide the decline,” one researcher advised another.

Robin had an answer to that one. Unfortunately, it was bullshit as well, just like saying that the record cold weather we have been experiencing is the result of global warming over the North Pole. Remember, to the true believers, global warming causes everything and man is responsible for global warming.

Two Junes ago, Garth Paltridge explained why they do this. He is a professor emeritus at the University of Tasmania after years of leading the Australian government’s atmospheric research.

“We have at least to consider the possibility that the scientific establishment behind the global warming issue has been drawn into the trap of seriously overstating the climate problem,” Paltridge wrote.

Ya think? Pope Albert declared that the North Pole would be free of sea ice by now. Hasn’t happened. Fifteen years ago he said we would be past the point of no return in ten years. Every year he would say we had ten years. He kept moving the goal posts. He’s made a lot of money out of junk science.

“The trap was set in the late 1970s or thereabouts when the environmental movement first realized that doing something about global warming would play to quite a number of its social agendas. At much the same time, it became accepted wisdom around the corridors of power that government-funded scientists (that is, most scientists) should be required to obtain a goodly fraction of their funds and salaries from external sources – external anyway to their own particular organization,” Paltridge wrote.

“The scientists in environmental research laboratories, since they are not normally linked to any particular private industry, were forced to seek funds from other government departments. In turn this forced them to accept the need for advocacy and for the manipulation of public opinion.”

Try to explain this to the true believers. AGW is a religion. It has its leader in Pope Albert I of the Church of AGW. It has indulgences in the form of carbon credits. It has missionaries in liberals who have drunk the Kool-Ade. You have to take a lot on faith and the clergy must fudge the numbers (97%) and “hide the decline” in global temperatures when they contradict the Bible of AGW.

Which explains why the American Physical Society — a group of physicists — no longer tolerates any debate on the subject.

The science is never “settled”. When the facts contradict your theory it must be altered. Remember, at one time it was settled that the earth was the center of the universe and the sun, stars, and planets all revolved around the earth. Think of how ridiculous that sounds today.

Sir James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming science, has finally admitted his predictions were wrong.

“The problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago. That led to some alarmist books – mine included – because it looked clear-cut, but it hasn’t happened,” Lovelock said.

Heresy! Excommunicate the infidel!

Left out of the discussion is what is the proper temperature for the Earth. Some scientists believe the world was warmer in 1300 and warmer than that in 1100 B.C.

Greenland used to be green, which is where it got its name, but the Little Ice Age hit and the settlement there could no longer sustain itself and had to have food imported to survive. Remember Vineland? When the Vikings arrived in what is now Nova Scotia, the temperature was much warmer than it is now.

Back in 1970’s the fear was global cooling. Now it’s global warming. Both were wrong. Thanks Don, for setting us straight on the bogus 97% statistic. Too bad the true believers, like Robin, will still keep their faith in the Church of AGW.

Obumbler has been a disaster for the gummint and a disaster for the country. Socialism has never worked wherever it’s been tried. We even have side by side comparisons between South Korea and North Korea. We saw the difference between East Germany and West Germany. But people like Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade and Thunder Rodent Thighs believe that the only reason socialism hasn’t worked wherever it’s been tried in places like Cuba, Zimbabwe, North Korea, the USSR, East Germany, and the rest of the Warsaw Pact countries behind the Iron Curtain were because the right people weren’t in charge and they are the right people. This time it will work.

Unfortunately, The Dimocrats have effectively played the politics of envy and have started a class war and there are enough stupid people in this country who have bought into it.

At least I was able to live in this country when it was great and powerful and was a “shining city on a hill”. Now I’m witnessing it committing suicide with what the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party has tried to convince us is the black version of Camelot. Like a fool, I had the news on today when the Job-Killer-in-Chief sent that animated slug out to try to spin the latest CBO report on the millions of FTEs the ACA will cost over the next few years. I mean, Sheeeesh!! What a maroon!

What the guy tried to say was that the ACA impact on employment will be to make it possible for people who want health care but don’t want to work at a full-time job to get it can STILL get it by working part-time jobs . . . and that it will give them the opportunity to get out of a job they feel locked into and go do something they’d prefer, something more fun, even tho it’s not full-time. “Opportunity!” “Flexibility!”

Jesus H. Christ! Let’s bring back “funemployment” when the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party tried to make people being out of work as good news. We have Obungler’s chief dog washer trying the same spin.

It’s sad to see our fighting forces weakened by a politically correct leadership, who recently loosened rules about uniforms to allow beards, turbans and hijabs. Big mistake. The word “uniform” explains the purpose — to tone down individual egos to form a larger unity of the group. Emblems of specialness, particularly of a historically unfriendly belief like Islam, detract from the purpose.

Beards, turbans, and hijabs? WTF? GMAFB! Goodbye military. Political correctness already killed 13 people at Fort Hood. There were all sorts of warning signs before this Mooslime went on his killing spree but it was not politically correct to report him because of his religious views. And then, there’s this.

General Casey must be pleased with the recent turn of events, since diversity ideology has been served, although the defense of the United States has not.

GMAFB! Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) a casualty? It was Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) that caused this disaster. WTF is wrong with these people? Jesus H. Christ! The military is for killing people and breaking things. It’s not some sort of place to worship Diversity (All Hail Diversity!).

Another symptom: the trial of the Muslim mass murderer Hasan cost taxpayers nearly $5 million because of the Army’s politically correct treatment of the killer, such as the daily chopper rides for Hasan to his private office to work on the defense he didn’t want.

Note to Pentagon: if America stays out of wars in sharia-run countries, then there is no reason to recruit Arabic-speaking soldiers. Just don’t go there. A Muslim-free military would have far more cohesion than one that admits potential enemies. BTW, reading over my post I wrote back in 2008, I had to chuckle at some of the comments, especially from Teresa (TDHO) and DanS. I recently heard from Dan and it appears he has come to his senses. I wonder how Teresa (TDHO) is doing? Many times she called us racists and then bitched about all of the “spics” in her area and how many Spanish speaking children went to school with her kids. I’ll bet she’ll really be happy when the Dimocrats and the RINO’s pass Scamnesty and all of the “spics” become legal citizens. She also accused us of playing the race card. What you have to remember is that AGW is a religion. If you can keep the faith, you can declare that global warming causes everything. Droughts? Global warming. Floods? Global warming. More storms? Global warming. Remember, almost every year the AGW crowd predicts more and more powerful hurricanes. Hasn’t happened. It has been comparatively peaceful in the Caribbean over the last few years. More powerful winter storms? Of course that has to be global warming, which makes me wonder, if we had global cooling would that mean we would have less powerful winter storms?

So, this winter we have had record cold and record storms. We are experiencing a salt shortage.

CHICAGO — As piles of snow grow taller during this seemingly endless winter, the mounds of salt for spreading on the nation’s icy, slushy roads are shrinking, forcing communities to ration supplies or try exotic new ice-melting substances.

Cities have already gone through most of their salt well ahead of the time they traditionally really need it — when the coldest part of winter gives way to temperatures just warm enough to turn snow into freezing rain and sleet and roads into ribbons of ice.

“If we don’t get the salt, at some point people are going to be sliding all over the place like what you saw in Atlanta,” said Julius Hansen, public works director in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, citing last week’s television images of thousands of motorists getting stranded on ice-covered roads in the South.

So far this year, Glen Ellyn’s snow-removal crews have responded to 31 storms.

“In an average winter, we have 20,” Hansen said.

So, we’re having a record winter as far as storms are concerned. It has to be caused by global warming because global warming is responsible for everything.
