Lucy admits she’s a parasite and it doesn’t bother her one bit. She can stay home and smoke weed and guess who gets to pay for it? This is Obungler’s America. This is the America that the Dimocrats and the RINOs have given to us. And now Obungler, the Dimocrats, and the New York Slimes (Motto: All the news that fits our views) have started a war on work. They’re trumpeting the fact that Obummercare is killing jobs and they say that’s a good thing. Mothers can stay home with their children and the gummint will give them healthcare. Work? Who needs it? Horatio Alger? Nope. Live off the gummint teat. The social safety net has turned into a hammock. What do you want to bet that Lucy has a flat screen TV and cable?
This is no longer the America that I grew up in. Sad. Very, very, very sad. And there are millions and millions of people just like Lucy out there. And they vote. They vote for Dimocrats. Why not? They get free stuff and those of us who do work (or did work) get to pay for it.
I seriously question this. It’s far too easy to just pickup the phone and pretend to be someone else. Besides, it fits too perfectly into the stereotype we have of welfare leaches and frauds. Anyone remember that teenage girl who was calling radio stations a couple of years back and pretending to be a black idiot?

Yes, this could well be a fake. I assumed that at first. But she seemed to know the specific angles, and have details of her back story laid out. In other words, if it’s fake, it does seem to be a plausible fake.
The problem expressed is real: When the welfare perks are as good or better than a low-end job, there’s a disincentive to make that leap from welfare to work. We can talk work ethic all day long. But if it actually costs people money to go to work, it’s not going to happen.
Those of us who are better off than the low-end jobs are motivated to keep working, because the welfare hammock would be a big step down. But our hard-earned tax dollars serve, in essence, to break off the ladder below our feet and make it more difficult for those at the bottom to climb out. We pay people to be poor.
Sadly, Rick, whether she is faking it, “people” like that do indeed exist and have, to my certain personal knowledge, for about 30 years now.
When the dollar crashes and the checks stops coming she and her ilk will starve. Once they have eaten all their children they will fall on each other. They will burn down their own neighborhoods, and wander the Detroit like urban areas until they die from starvation and exposure. They won’t be mourned or missed by those of us who supported them for three generations.
This just reported, The Mayor of ‘Chocolate City’ New Orleans, Ray Nagan was found guilty of corruption in Federal court this afternoon. He responded to the guilty verdict by saying “I ain’t don nuttin, I was framed”.

A few months ago I was in Minneapolis visiting my daughter. Heading back home, in the airport, waiting for the TSA to grope me (I have a titanium knee and the Way Back Machine was not on-line) I struck up a conversation with another business man. It was a good chat, but the jist of it was that he was planning on leaving the USA for good within a year. He had been doing a lot of research and found a place that he thought would be a perfect place to retire and get away from the encroaching government. As hard as I tried, I could not coax that destination from him because he was concerned too many others would go there. Not quite Galtish, but man it was intriguing.

Here in Erie here was just such a person who posted they were leaving the work force in order to enjoy life …It was their right to live for enjoyment & it was the responsibility of the Government to provide them with the necessities of life…food, housing etc so they could enjoy life worry free.
Yes, people are this stupid, they believe the government is benevolent & a everflowing well of benefits & money so people do not have to work or provide these things for themselves.
We have in 60 years gone from the greatest generation to a society of leeches, parasites & welfare slugs. A kept society which will rue the day America abandoned freedom & self reliance.
