Yes, but you do know about music, and if the music sounds good, that’s all that counts. You would (or you may not) know that a large percentage of the population is tone deaf. That’s how I have gotten away with my guitar playing and off key singing all of my life. Fortunately, in my case, all I’m trying to do is entertain. For example, at all of the blogmeets where I have performed with Jimbo, the elder half of the Elderly Brothers, my kazoo playing on Rocky Raccoon saves the day.
I can remember music teachers instructing piano students to keep playing if they make a mistake. I’m sure your piano teacher told you the same thing when you were a student. Most people won’t even know when you make a mistake.
