A few weeks ago, with no notice, the U.S. government intercepted Mary Grice’s tax refunds from both the IRS and the state of Maryland. Grice had no idea that Uncle Sam had seized her money until some days later, when she got a letter saying that her refund had gone to satisfy an old debt to the government — a very old debt.
When Grice was 4, back in 1960, her father died, leaving her mother with five children to raise. Until the kids turned 18, Sadie Grice got survivor benefits from Social Security to help feed and clothe them.
Now, Social Security claims it overpaid someone in the Grice family — it’s not sure who — in 1977. After 37 years of silence, four years after Sadie Grice died, the government is coming after her daughter. Why the feds chose to take Mary’s money, rather than her surviving siblings’, is a mystery.
Boo-freaking-hoo! So why is this a schadenboner? Because Mary Grice is black, so there is a 95% chance that she voted for Obungler and now she’s getting what she voted for, good and hard. As I’ve stated many times, Obumbler has been a disaster for blacks. Black unemployment is way up there, much higher than it was under Reagan and both Bushes. Teenage black unemployment is a disaster area as well, and how are Oblundeer and the Dimocrats gonna fix that? They plan on raising the minimum wage which will only exacerbate the situation.
I just love the way blacks overwhelmingly support the party that keeps them poor, uneducated, unemployed, and dependent upon the party that keeps them that way. It’s the biggest con job in electoral history and they have the useful idiots, the members of the Congressional Black Caucus, in on the scam.
In more good news, I read in this mornings’ Atlanta Urinal and Constipation that due to budget cuts, IRS audits will be way down this year. I’m sure they’ll find the manpower to harass conservative groups like they have during Obutthead’s time in office. Can you imagine the outroar if a Republican president politicized the IRS like Obeavis has? I don’t have to imagine it. All I need to do is go back to the Nixon years. Back then it was grounds for impeachment. With a black Dimocrat in office? Ho hum. Nuttin’ to see here. Move along. It was the same when BJ’s IRS went after his political enemies with audits. Nuttin’ to see here. Move along.
It must be nice to be a Dimocrat and held to different standards than Republicans.

They grabbed her refund because she was probably the only one in her family filing taxes. I saw it on Megyn Kelly’s show Friday night. She was about to bust a gut over this one.
There is a connection if the family member received parts of the estate of the deceased that owed the taxes (or a refund of overpayments). But such things should be proved out in court. By simply taking the money from any relative, the IRS is saying, “you prove you don’t owe it”. There isn’t enough information in this to see if the family members intentionally knew about claims against the estate and chose to ignore them and keep the money for themselves.
And this is the main problem with the IRS. They do not have to follow the law. Unlike our criminal justice system where you are innocent until proven guilty, with the IRS you are presumed guilty until you can prove your innocence. The Founders of the country are spinning in their graves. I’ve had a personal experience with the IRS and how they can change the law on the fly. I invested in a tax shelter. One of the members was audited and was given the numbers we could use. I filed an amended return based on those numbers. I was audited. When I told the IRS rep that I was using numbers supplied by the IRS, he told me those were from the downtown office. WTF? You can do that? He told me to take them to court. Another member did that. Every time he took off work to go to tax court, the IRS requested and got a delay. I moved away and don’t know if it was ever resolved for him or not.
And these are the same people who are gonna enforce Obummercare. Welcome to the police state comrade. The American Revolution was based on less than this. The sad thing is we elected the people who are screwing us.
What do you expect in a country where “driving around with too much money” is a crime?

Hey Denny;
I never saw her picture, but I remembered reading that she was the 3rd out of 5 kids. I figured she was tied to a TEA party group or something. Then I saw her picture and figured that she was the first of the brood that probably had a viable tax return, no tax credits or something. The government needs an new income stream to keep funding the programs that guarantee the democrats remain in power.
