What Hope And Change Has Wrought

What hath Obungler brought to this country? Higher taxes and more poverty.

The median income of American households dropped by $2,627 during President Barack Obama’s first term — and the number of people in poverty rose by about 6,667,000, according to a new report from the Census Bureau.

This reminds me of the joke going around that if the world was ending the New York Slimes (Motto: All the news that fits our views) headline would read: World Ending Tomorrow – Poor And Elderly Hardest Hit

Some 46,496,000 Americans are now in poverty, the highest number ever and a 16.73 percent increase from 2008 when Obama took office.

Overall, 15 percent of Americans are considered to be living in poverty, up from 13.2 percent in 2008.

This is Hope and Change in action. And these people voted overwhelmingly for Oblunder. Jesus H. Christ! They deserve to be poor and this is why they’re poor. They’re freakin’ stupid! It’s like I always say, “The rich get richer because they continue do the things that made them rich. The majority of the poor get poorer because they continue to do the things that made them poor in the first place. Let me count the ways.

1. They drop out of school
2. They have children they cannot afford and in the case of 73% of black children, they are born to single mothers. This is an express ticket to poverty right there.
3. They do not develop a work ethic.
4. They vote For Dimocrats who have policies that keep them poor like union teachers and saying no to charter schools. Meanwhile, these same Dimocrat politicians and many union teachers, send their children to private schools.

But the figures are much higher for blacks and Hispanics — 27 percent of blacks and 25.6 percent of Hispanics are living in poverty. The rate for non-Hispanic whites is 9.7 percent.

Once again, core Obumbler supporters. These groups did far better under Reagan and both Bushes. The Dimocrats and the RWPPs deny it, but a rising tide does lift all boats.

More than one-fifth of all Americans under age 18 — 21.8 percent — are in poverty, as are 9.1 percent of those 65 and older.

A single individual earning less than $11,270 last year was considered to be in poverty. For two-person households, the threshold is $14,937; for three-person households, $18,284; for a family of four, $23,492.

Last year, the real median household income in America was $51,017, a 4.89 percent drop from 2008. Median income dropped in every year of Obama’s first term.

But he’s our first black president so let’s give him a pass.

For black households, median income last year was $33,321, according to the report “Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States,” released on Tuesday.

Skin color trumps common sense. Let’s hear it for the first black president! This is what happens when Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) meets the Peter Principle. It didn’t surprise me. I knew he was unqualified for the job. It’s just like the cognitive dissonance of liberals when they said Sarah Palin was not qualified to be VP after running a town and a state while Obeauzeau was qualified for president when all he had ever run was his mouth. His only skill was being able to read words, written by others, off a TelePrompTer and his only qualification was the color of his skin.

So to all of you poor blacks and Hispanics let me say just two things to you: elections have consequences and you’re getting what you voted for, good and hard.

Just remember, Dimocrats love poor people. That why they support policies to keep people poor, uneducated, and dependent upon gummint. It’s working as planned.

  1. The last line from the link:
“The income and poverty estimates shown in the report are based solely on money income before taxes and do not include the value of noncash benefits, such as those provided by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicare, Medicaid, public housing, or employer-provided fringe benefits.”

Yes, but if you include all the Obama freebies they are all millionaires.

  2. “the number of people in poverty rose by about 6,667,000”

That’s 6,667,000 more votes for the Progressive (give-away) Democrats.

  3. One thing he has done is to make gunpowder virtually impossible to find. I don’t know if the billion round government ammunition buys have caused the shortage in reloading components or if the paranoid preppers are hoarding it. There is NO powder anywhere. People are panicking if the see some they buy it, regardless of their need. I saw an eight pound jug of Unique go at auction for Four Hundred and Five dollars, and a one pound can was up to Ninety five bucks . The advertised price of Unique is between 20 and 28 dollars. I don’t know if supply is down or if demand is up, but I’d sure like to know.

  4. Did you miss the article in the AJC about Atlanta’s mayor and his pregnant girlfriend? Surely someone in his position should have made a better choice than to get his girlfriend pregnant before marrying her.
