Of course, when I see examples of irony and liberal cognitive dissonance like this, I always think of Maxine Waters saying at a pro-abortion march that she was marching because her mother “didn’t have the right to choose”. If only. And a few months back Chelsea Clinton was on some sort of talk show talking about how her great grandmother was forced to have a child, who was Thunder Rodent Thigh’s grandmother, because she didn’t have the right to choose. Once again, if only. Do these people even think before they open their mouths? Don’t answer. That was a rhetorical question. The problem is that every year there are more and more of these people, and they vote.

And if you had no choice but to carry that child in “your” belly for 9 months and then pop it out your penis, no doubt you would have a difference on opinion.
*Accidents do happen, you cannot deny it. Either one or both participants are drunk, a condom breaks, birth control fails, etc. I’ve been there.
Also, do you really want to be the tax payer who bears the burden of unwanted rug rats? No…I didn’t think so.

I didn’t give abortion a bad rap. I just pointed out Steinem’s hypocrisy. I don’t think we should ban abortion (except partial birth abortion which is barbaric and is infanticide), but she wants to ban guns for saving children, but has no problem killing unborn children.

His point was that Gloria was being hypocritical. She’s saying that life is so sacred that guns must be banned. Life is sacred – unless it hasn’t been born yet.

Okay, DDP, we understand that only women carry and deliver babies, but if they don’t want to deal with the consequences resulting from the act that creates babies, they can keep their panties on. Otherwise, when they’re through screwin’ they can pull up their big girl panties and deal with it. There’re always the options of swallowing or takin’ it somewhere else. Havin’ held the hands of more than one woman who suffered losing babies they wanted to keep, I have little sympathy for women who choose to end pregnancies for callous or selfish reasons.

Speaking about the right of a woman to kill her child because it’s not wanted in her tummy upsets me so much. I usually end up sobbing my ailing heart out.
Let me tell you about another aspect of those free-to-kill-baby-liberals. They are so sensitive about nature and animals-right-to- life. They organise campaigns and march on streets, carrying signs: HUG TREES… BAN WHALES’ KILLING….SAVE BABY SEALS…PROTECT BEARS….
My Inuit friends would never abort a child. For them, the more Inuits, the better. Any child is welcome. And none of them are ever illegitimate.
They live in a harsh land. They absolutely need to kill whales, seals and many other animals to survive. They use every part of an animal as food, clothing, oil, tools. They have a deep problem understanding the white people’s interference and the now- limiting bans (in Europe and America) on seals products which brings them to a poverty level never experienced before by skilled hunters. For an Inuit, not to kill the whale in front of him, and get welfare for 12 months instead, is incredibly shameful.
I lived among the Inuits and the First Nations. I could write hundreds of tragic pages about the hypocritical, destructive stand of liberalism towards them. But today, I will just add my tears to those few words.

Claudia, it used to be shameful in this country to not have a job and live on welfare. That was before the Democrats used welfare to buy votes. I remember that when the Civil Rights bill was passed the Great Society followed shortly thereafter. Once the Blacks had their votes guaranteed, the Liberals set about buying those votes. Temporary assistance became an Entitlement. The stigma of welfare was replaced by the victimhood industry. People were no longer defined by what they did for a living, but by the victim group they occupied. I think that part of the obsession for “Respect” in the Black community is because the lack of meaningful work is a huge blow to a man’s self-respect.
When, not if, the welfare state collapses from it’s own massive weight, a large segment of people will starve to death or be killed for stealing food. They have no skills to earn their bread, and no good reason to go out and learn those skills. They remind me of farm raised pheasants. They are fed every day at the same time and once released they congregate in the open each day at feeding time waiting for the man with the feed. They have never learned to fend for themselves.
There is always crime, but in extreme times folks are more likely to shoot first ans ask questions later. The welfare class will find that they sold their votes far to cheaply. They made a deal with the white devils and soon they may regret it.

The shame of illegitimacy was removed as well. Morality began to leave society. Patrick Moynihan referred to it as “defining deviancy down”. As my friend Cindy told me, when she was growing up in the South, single girls would “go away for a while” when they became pregnant. They would have the baby and give it up for adoption. Now there is no shame whatsoever to having a baby out of wedlock. And, if you’re poor, the gummint sets you up with your own place. The Dimocrats love poor people because they’re easier to control.

On the other hand, How many Einsteins or Steven Hawking’s have been aborted? We may have aborted a person who could make cold fusion work. We could have aborted the inventor of the warp drive. Hitting closer to home, We could have aborted someone who could cure paralysis, ALS, Parkinsons’s disease or MS. I could go on and on. Your argument is stupid.
I never said I was against abortion in general. I don’t want to make it illegal except for partial birth abortion which is little more than infanticide. There is no difference between killing a live baby halfway outside the womb and all the way outside the womb. That is murder. I also think that many abortions are a result of a woman (or a man) not using birth control techniques and then frivolously having an abortion because they were careless. I’ll be willing to bet that most abortions are contraception after the fact.
I expect many readers to disagree with me on this and label me a “baby killer”. This is why I almost never write about abortion.
Hell, Denny, I’m sure you and I disagree on several things, but as vets from our era, we’ve heard that “baby killer” bullshit for too many years for it to bother us.
