They’re members of the ruling class. They make the rules for the rest of us while exempting their privileged asses from the rules the rest of us have to live by. Now we have a politician who is in the private sector getting boned by the gummint.

Bonior said if he had the power, he would lighten up on pesky regulations.

“It took us a ridiculous amount of time to get our permits. I understand regulations and . . . the necessity for it. But we lost six months of business because of that. It’s very frustrating.”

To make the numbers work, he pays his 50 or so employees — who are not union members — what he calls “the tip wage,” which is $2.36 an hour. He said that when he was in Congress, he worked hard to increase the “tip wage,” but it was a casualty from the successful effort to increase the minimum wage.

“Tip wage”? Why dontcha pay them the minimum wage? Yannow, that minimum wage your fellow Dimocrats want to impose on private business. “Tip wage”? no one is forcing you to pay the “tip wage”. You could pay them more than the “tip wage”. Not only are you a greedy business owner, you’re a freakin’ hypocrite as well.

Bonior tries to motivate employees with baseball tickets and discount meals.

Wow! Baseball tickets and free meals. Why dontcha pay them a “living wage” that your party keeps screaming about? How do you expect them to raise a family on the “tip wage”?

His employees get paid vacations of at least two weeks a year. Most employees who were on the restaurants’ health plans have signed up for coverage via the Affordable Care Act. Bonior’s restaurants do not have retirement plans, although he says he plans to institute them in the future.

Do you give your employees paid family leave for maternity care? That’s the kind of stuff you wanted to impose on private businesses when you were in Congress? You’re channeling George McGovern who had a similar experience when he opened a bed and breakfast inn.

Kinda makes you think that politicians, especially liberal ones, should have to spend some time in the private sector so they could see the effects of all the laws and mandates they impose on the private sector.
