It’s a joint award this week. I couldn’t decide whether to give it to the leeches and the parasites in Alabama with their free cellphones whining about having to pay $1.75 a month to support the 911 program or the assholes in Detoilet who are bitching about having their water shut off because they haven’t paid their water bills in like forever. And then these whining parasites claim it’s racist because it’s only black people who are getting their water shut off. Sure it is. It’s only black people who aren’t paying for it! Ya see, responsibility is racist. JHFC! Most of you assholes are on welfare, Section 8 housing and EBT and you leeches expect free water too? Did you see my card from yesterday? I be sorry, man. I done be fo’gettin’ my roots. I grew up in the get-toe (that be the phonetic spellin’ of ghetto, for the rest of you honkies) in North Oakland. Graduated from Oakland Tech back in ’66. Didn’t realize that those folks of a different ethnic persuasion were supposed to be all that much different from me. They all came to our house for dinner, and the guys who lived around the corner and down the block and used to go cruisin’ the strip with me in my ’60 Ford Starliner, had a Dad who owned a huge auto parts wholesale business. Mine might’ve been the only white face in the building when I bought parts, but I always asked to see Mr. Harger, ’cause that’s who he was. To this day, I couldn’t tell you his first name, as every older person was Mr. or Mrs., just like Mr. Abe, who owned the local cleaners. Hell, we even got along with all the local Italians and Portuguese in the neighborhood.
And if we screwed up, we were fair game for anybody’s parents to whomp our butts, and we’d hear about it again when we got home. Hell, the NSA got nothin’ on the network of parents and LOLs (that’s Little Old Ladies) when it came to gettin’ word to your house if you broke a window, knocked down a fence or stole flowers from somebody’s yard to give to a girl.
The Reverend Davis lived across the street. He had one son and eight daughters and Mrs Davis played the piano. They made up the majority of the church choir and we’d get to hear ’em practicin’ all week long. Mr. Davis would buy cars with blown engines and drop in a junkyard replacement right in the garage to pick up a few extra bucks. I never heard of them havin’ their water shut off, and not because it would’ve reflected badly on the other black families on the block, but because it wouldn’t’ve looked good for the Davis family.
A real scam /ripoff
Don`t really know how this fits in but there is a federal program which allows certain groups to pay workers far below Minimum wage. Here in Erie is a a group home/school/ county agency which addresses the mentally/physically /birth defect challenged people of our society.
Granted working with these people is quite difficult , but one thing which was featured in Sundays local bird cage liner was a report about the practice of having certain menial tasks from local companies being performed by these people at the Group center & being paid pennies per hour for things such a stuffing envelopes , assembling shipping boxes , toys & simple production parts for example.
Locally these wages ranged from .10 cents per hour to around .75 cents with the highest featured for an operation out of county which paid about $3.00 per hour for roasting dog treats!
Somehow working 6 hours per day for 5 days has to be worth far more then the $90.00 per week for roasting dog treats or the far less amounts of 3 to 10 dollars per week for other menial tasks.
We here in this country reward the laziest & most useless of our society with entitlements which can total over $35,000.00 per year to keep them voting Democratic but give official blessing to exploitation of the physically , emotionally or mentally challenged & read in the paper this is good?
What is wrong with the people in this country who do not see this as being wrong & unfair?
I agree 110% with the concept of providing some kind of work therapy or ability to earn some money but pay thee people at least the minimum wage for christ sakes.
Better yet take some of our laziest & most worthless & put their sorry asses to work at these menial jobs for pennies while providing the free entitlements to those who really deserve help & assistance
