Can’t Even Get BBQ Right

So Obungler was in Austin and went to Franklin BBQ. Geez! Anyone knows the place to go for BBQ in Austin is the Salt Lick. Chris Muir at DBD got it right on his Sunday cartoon.

We had a blogmeet in Austin. It was the first official blodgemeet of the Blownstar Blodgers. The first night, we went to the Salt Lick. Great BBQ!

  1. Having been to Salt Lick, I happen to know that they only accept cash and since barry knew he was a bit short on funds he had to go somewhere he could use our oops I mean his credit card.
    +1 regarding the Luling City Market!

    • He could have always turned to the guy behind him and had him pay for it. Liberals love to spend other people’s money. Remember Thunder Rodent Thighs stopped at a restaurant on one of her campaign trips and didn’t bother to leave a tip for the waitress and she supposedly cares for the working people.

  2. Been to both places several times. Franklin’s has better sauces but standing in line, especially hot days, is a real downer. Overall, Salt Lick BBQ is better with generally no line. You have to ask for chicken, since it is “not in season” – the original owner didn’t really go for chicken. The beef and turkey are really excellent but they just don’t do pork as good as is done in the South!!

  3. I thought he stopped there because he thought the long line indicated quality, actually it’s because they accept the LINK card!
    I would not have allowed him to cut the line. His time is no more valuable than mine is when he is fundraising or glad handing the Uber rich. He was not on the countries business, but his own. And Punta is a good descriptor for this empty chair.

  4. Killen’s in Pearland! Any way I wonder what he ordered. Beef or Pork. Would be interesting to see if Oblabba ordered pork!
