Didja read the story in the news about some guy pulling a knife in a store and being subdued by a guy legally carrying a gun? The guy held the perp at bay until the cops arrived. He didn’t have to shoot his weapon. He protected the other patrons. Guess what happened? The next day the store put up a sign saying no guns allowed. They may as well have put up a sign like this one that Toejam sent me.
I’ve mentioned it before that the medical facility I go to used to have one of those signs proclaiming it a gun free zone. Someone wised up and realized that what that sign really meant was what the sign above sez. It’s been gone for two years.

Off topic: Hillary is now saying, “When Bill and I were first married, we were so poor we had to share the same girlfriend.”
If I ever have to unlimber my bang stick I will charge the business owner for the cost of the rounds I fire. If he won’t protect his patrons then, by God he will have to pay me to do his job. A sign on the door is not a security system.
The only place in my neck of the woods with such a sign is the community hospital and I think that is a federal requirement. No one will ever know whether I am armed or not so long as I don’t need to be armed.
Criminal Enterprise Zone is what they are.
Hey Denny;
Betcha that store if it was a corporate store or a franchise, the bottom feeding lawyer got involved. That is how they mitigate risk….”See he violated our no gun policy…..so we ain’t libel.” I am not defending them, but I am making a guess of the perp’s ethnic group and they like to sue…..”ghetto lottery”. I dealt with that crap when I was a pizza manager back in the early 90’s.
Next time i am in Colorado http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/weird/2014/07/01/waitresses-guns-restaurant/11918725/
As a rule, I refuse to patronize any “no guns allowed” businesses, although I will briefly go in to try to speak to the manager to let them know why I won’t be shopping there. I just had to tell that to Target after they announced they would prefer that gun owners not visit their stores. I told them that they are now ironically making their customers “targets” for the bad guys!

It shouldn’t be too long until we start seeing these signs on the doors to Target, although my wife ad I probably won’t see them. We haven’t been to Target in years. And there is one just a couple of miles from where I am sitting now.
