When our country was founded & duties for the President & his executive team were established…..no role was designated, anticipated or even thought to be needed for the first lady.
Michelle Obama is just the latest & perhaps the most extreme evidence which proves the wisdom of those who chose to ignore any need to create official duties for the first lady.
Few of our Nations previous first ladies ever performed any duties which merited an asterisk after her name to signify special consideration for meritorious service.Most were just baggage which came with the new President elect.
Some might consider Elinor Roosevelt the exception but my favorite was Bess Truman who told the Media in her first & I believe only news conference the people elected her husband & not her refusing to accept or take part in any active role as the first lady.
While Michelle is probably the most repulsive…..Hillary Clinton is probably the most dangerous who if elected President might well finish off the job of destroying America that Obama started.

Yes, and Hillery was convinced that she was co-president. She even ran on it the last time. Expect her to run on Bill’s record this time as well.
