Ron sent me an email full of fodder for rants, kinda like pick your topic and do a rant. Some of the email is like one of my bitchslapping posts. Haven’t done one of those in a long time.
First, John Kerry — as Bugs Bunny would say, “What a maroon!”

Next, Hillary — a study in profanity, hypocrisy, greed, hubris, and penis envy.
Slap! Wait a minute! Are you saying Thunder Rodent Thighs doesn’t have a penis?
Holder — HFS, mon . . . if the US is so goddam racist, how did you wind up being appoint AG by a Kenyan squatting in the White House!
Any opposition to Obumbler or his policies is racist by definition to this asshole. Slap!
Israel — Netanyahu is absolutely right: if 75% of American citizens were living in fear of rocket attack from Canada or Mexico, what would WE do about it?
Instead, we’re being invaded on our southern border, and the Obungler administration is shipping the invaders all over the freakin’ county. I never thought I would see the country run by a foreigner who hates America and everything it stands for.
Ukraine plane downing — we ain’t EVER gonna know for sure who shot that plane down, and the flight recorders are already compromised.
Putin — he’s a KGB dictator trying to resurrect the old Soviet Union, but at least he’s honest about it.
And the Dimocrats are happy about it. They think the wrong side won the Cold War and they want to resurrect it so the side they rooted for all those years can win this time. Traitorous bastards! Slap! Slap! Slap! I wish I could slap some sense into the voters who gave this Kenyan asshole another four years to continue the destruction of this country.
Illegal aliens — Hey, amigo . . . breaking into my house doesn’t make you a member of the family!
Voter ID cards — hmmm, well, Obama LOST in every state requiring photo I.D. to vote . . . could there be a connection to black opposition to the requirement?
Naw! That’s racist to even suggest that.
Racism — isn’t it kinda racist to believe that only white people can be racist?

Lois Lerner — she may have self-incriminating knowledge which she doesn’t want to share, but I think she has regime-ending knowledge which she’s too scared to share
Islam — if Muslims are so damned peaceful by nature, why the hell is everyone so terrified to say something that might offend them?
This is a fine example of a rhetorical question.
Definition of Ineptocracy — a governmental administration comprised of the least able to lead, elected by those least capable of producing, over a society where the least likely to support themselves are provided with goods and services funded by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing cadre of honest, hard-working people
Status quo — our grandchildren will live in a society run by adults who were never spanked as kids, whose diet is determined by government officials, who got trophies for just participating in activities, who got passing grades in school to avoid hurting their feelings, who are unaware of the Holocaust, and who believe that the greatest threat to world peace is the USA.
We’re doomed!
One of the signs of decline and decay. You no longer have control of your borders. You have invaders coming and going as they please. I note what is happening right at our southern border. Proof enough for me of where this once great shining city on the hill is headed.
That’s what did the Roman Empire in. They could no longer control their borders and the barbarians destroyed the empire.

I first read 1984 in the mid ‘50s. I re-read it about 5 years ago. George Orwell is the most prescient person that I have ever come across.
He foretold Brainwashing (stressing someone into compliance) as Winston was taught to love Big Brother. He said, “Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.”
He foretold politically correct speech: He called it Newspeak. He said, “Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it.”
He foretold the corruption of history in which what happened in the past was what Big Brother said happened. He said “He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.” In 1984 he was more efficient. He did it by daily destroying every document created. We do it with lies and propaganda about the past. Orwell said,” The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”
He foretold the corruption of language by redefining words. We redefine marriage, we redefine a baby in the womb, we redefine racism (only a white man can be racist) we redefine eminent domain, we redefine illegal aliens, we redefine taxes, etc. He said, “But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.”
He spoke of Doublethink: “…the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.” and we have examples of Doublethink such as, our economic recovery will succeed because Consumption is Production.
Orwell said, “The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one’s real and one’s declared aims, one turns, as it were, instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish squirting out ink.” President Obama tells the American people that if they like their healthcare plan that they can keep it. I could go on but you get the idea. Orwell’s big mistake was in the title. He reversed the last two digits of the year in which he wrote it, 1948. Had he titled the book 2084 he would have been right on the money.
2014 would also have been close.
