I’m gonna give it to Flipper for his strategy to keep Ebola out of the country: open borders. Yep! That’s what he said. (Thanks to Jon for the link.)
During a press conference at the State Departmemt, today, Secretary of State John Kerry addressed the urgent need to contain the spread of Ebola in the wake of the first Ebola death in in the United States.
Kerry made clear that travel restrictions would not be part of the administration’s strategy in fighting the deadly disease.
Because, heaven forbid that we keep people infected with Ebola from entering the country.
I wish I were joking.
“We need airlines to continue to operate in West Africa, and we need borders to remain open,” said Kerry. “And we need to strengthen the medivac capacity. We need countries to contribute for Ebola treatment centers and we need other African countries with the capacity to send responders to join the effort and we need to make sure the health-care workers who go properly trained, properly equipped, and supported in order to prevent additional infections.”
Open borders. That’s the policy of Obola and his SecState. I wonder how many people will die from Ebola because of this response? Thanks uninformed voters. And just remember, you voters in red states, a vote for a Dimocrat is a vote to continue policies like this. I’m talking to you voters in North Carolina. A vote for Hagan is a vote for this policy. That goes for you voters in West Virginia who have witnessed Obungler’s war on coal. Don’t listen to what your Dimocrat sez. A vote for him is a vote against coal and for open borders in response to Ebola. Arkansas, Alaska, Montana, and Louisiana voters, if you love Obumbler and open borders, vote for the Dimocrat running. It’s a vote for Oblunder and Horrible Harry and for open borders. I simply cannot understand someone who opposes Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade voting for a Dimocrat. It boggles the mind.
But I digress.
Congrats Flipper. Here’s another AOTW Award for your collection.

Along with doing everything possible to keep ebola out of the U.S, how about we also do everything possible to keep SecState John Kerry-Heinz (or is it Heinz-Kerry?) out of the U.S. as well. We could declare him a modern-day Philip Nolan. He deserves that title because of his traitorous (I believe) testimony before Congress back in the 70s. Actually, he is almost as much of a traitor as Hanoi Jane Fonda is.
And he committed perjury before Congress on his testimony back in the 70’s.
Yep. It was the Fulbright hearings.

Confirmed 94 to 3. Only three nays… Cornyn, Cruz, and Inhofe.
I’d like folks to remember Random Paul’s name voting for the Earl of Ketchup now that the asshole thinks he might run in ’16.
I hope all of these weasels with their pathological fear of offending people catch Ebola, Bubonic plague, and mange. They can die bald, puking their bloody guts out. It would still not be a fair punishment for what they have done to us.
Hey Roger, you forgot the wish for them to get fleas, crabs an’ clap. Hope they get everything they deserve.
And JF’ingKerry, that lyin’, scum-suckin’, bastard, can kiss my ass.
Why on earth would you want to be close enough for Jacques Friggin Querrie to be ABLE to kiss your ass!
I had the unpleasant experience of joining the USS Gridley as Electronics Officer in 1969, the same ship he was on in 67 & 68. (actually, I enjoyed my 3 years on that ship, despite his having been on her before me.)
I’ve never read any comment by any member of that crew who had anything decent to say about him. Most deal with his lying and exaggerations, which were often hyperbole.
For example, he was originally assigned as Electrical Officer, a job which he considered beneath him, since it actually concerned people who worked for a living and got dirty.
He later was reassigned as ship’s 1st Lt., which means he was basically Deck Officer, responsible for topside maintenance and all boats assigned to the ship.
At one point later, he claimed to have been responsible for the guidance and motivation of “400 swabbies,” a bit of a stretch since Deck Department on that ship generally has no more than around 30 guys, some of them senior non-coms.
I don’t want him near enough to me to contaminate the air I have to breathe. Bad enough that he’s occasionally on the same friggin CONtinent.
Actually, Ron, during my short time in-country I worked with the brown-water Navy. AlphaCo,4th/47thInf/9thInfDiv and we went out on landing craft pleasure cruises to picnic with the VC and NVA regulars.
A couple of years ago a guy came into a place I was working and since he was wearin’ a USNavy cap, I thanked him for havin’ served and asked what he’d had as a rating. He told me he’d been on river boats, and I asked him about brown-water Navy. He pulled up his shirt sleeve and showed me his tattoo of the MRF logo. I jokingly said I might’ve ridden on his boat, and it turns out I had.
It seems one of his best buddies was one of the Swift crewmen who spoke up against Flipper during the campaign in ’04. This guy had been willing to testify under threat of court martial that he’d used an M79 to frag that pus-bucket and that’s how the Ketchup King ended up with one of his PHs. You’d almost think the other guys didn’ like him, huh?
Anyway, give me a chance and I’ll tell the AOTW what I think of him, face-to-face. Other than that, I guess I’m like you, in that bein’ within a thousand mile of the prick would be too close. Then again, if’n I had a case of ebola, I’d love to have him KMA while I hit him with a blast of diarrhea.
Brown water Navy huh? I was in the Gator Navy and served on an LSD and an LST. During my last year on the LST (USS Iredell County LST-839), 1969, we made two trips up the Bassac River carrying supplies up to the station ships that supported PBRs. The PBR dudes were crazy fuckers!
Denny- too bad you were late to the party. I hit country as an 11Bravo right after Tet in ’68. Wasn’t there too long as I earned my PH on Memorial Day ’68 and was only there for another few weeks in the hospital at Vung Tau. They must’ve though I wanted to be a squid, ’cause they sent me to one of the troop ships in the Delta and we got to ride around with some of those crazy MoFo’s, up the river and canals and just generally havin’ fun.
For any of you guys who were over there, especially with the 9th Infantry Division at Dong Tam/Camp Bearcat, you might want to check out http://mrfa.org/ and see a nice site. Plenty of links there.
Hope you don’t mind, Denny, that I put up this link.
I was actually in Da Nang when Tet started. At that time we were running supplies up the coast from Da Nang to Cua Viet. They had a small attack when we were in the estuary at Cua Viet, and some shrapnel hit the waveguide for the radar. We didn’t discover that until we were leaving Hong Kong in a bodacious rain storm and we weren’t able to light up the radar. We pulled out the transducer and water gushed out. Since I was the junior ET, I was the one who had to go up the mast to find the hole in the waveguiude. I bent back the jagged edges and wrapped electrician’s tape around the hole. We slapped in a new transducer, tuned the crystals and we were back in business. Funny thing about this is it added 60 miles to the range of the radar. After the waveguide was replaced in the yards we were back to our normal range of 32 miles.
I actually first hit ‘Nam in October of 1967 when I caught up with the USS Comstock, LSD-19 in Da Nang. I spent a good portion of my sea duty in Viet Fucking Nam. I was talking to a Ranger over the weekend and we are still pissed that we won that war only to have the Dimocrats (and that traitor Walter Cronkite) throw away our hard earned victory. Tet was a disaster for the NVA and the Viet Cong but to hear the news media relate it it was a disaster for us.
Hadn’t realized when you’d first gone over there. Let me express a heartfelt welcome home, sir. There may be a lot of those out there who haven’t a clue, but some of us know.
Same to the rest of you guys who wore the uniform. I may poke fun and refer to some as REMFs, but anybody who took that one step forward gets some respect from me.
And, hey, let’s not forget the donut dollies. http://www.donutdolly.com/ They didn’t have to be there and I was sure glad to see ’em. Denny, do you think you could do a post about their site, just so they know we haven’t forgotten them?
Thanks, sir.
Suppose ebola gets here and begins to run rampant. What will our government do? Travel restrictions, seizure of property, the conspiracy theorists would have a field day speculating. Yet, this administration may take advantage of situations like this one to advance an agenda (never let a crisis go to waste). Could they actually hope for this sort of thing? God help me, I hope not.
The Last Centurion was just a novel wasn’t it?
Howdy Fred ….
The Democrats already have their strategic agenda in place ….according to Drudge they are already blaming the Ebola outbreak on the Republicans !
There , don`t you already feel a sense of well being & safety flooding over you knowing the Democratic party has your back in this situation.
Flipper’s a special kind of stupid, isn’t he.

John “WHO SERVED IN VIET NAM ” is a Democrat isn`t he? That`s all the answer you really need.
You mentioned some races like N. Carolina. I’m really worried Ga may screw up and elect Nunn. I don’t know the spending ratio, but I see way more of her adds in local TV and based only on the adds I would vote for her. I know better, but it scares me.
She’s also running using her maiden name hoping that voters will think she’s like her father, which she isn’t. Her father’s breed, conservative Dimocrat, is extinct. I’m hoping Georgia voters won’t fall or it. I agree that she’s currently outspending Perdue. Since I have a DVR and hardly watch anything live, I fast forward through her commercials.
