I pulled this quote out of an email from Ron.
Once again, just as with VietNam, our government has proven that the only force on this planet which can defeat the US militarily and economically is the Democratic Party.
How true that is. I was talking to Recondo32 (who was a Ranger in Viet Nam) over the weekend at the Hysterics at Eric’s and we recalled how Tet was a major disaster for the NVA and the Viet Cong. We kicked their asses! Unfortunately, we had rat bastard commies like “the most trusted man in America”, Walter Cronkite who reported it as a defeat. We won on the battlefields of Viet Nam and lost in the United States. Then, after signing the peace treaty the Dimocrats cut off the promised aid to South Viet Nam and the war was totally lost. Remember the pictures of the helo leaving the American embassy in Saigon? Get ready for a reprise at the American embassy in Baghdad. ISIS is on the outskirts of Baghdad and airstrikes won’t stop them.
Get those helicopters fired up and ready!
Denny:
For the record, here is a photograph of Walter Cronkite’s grave: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=39563159
Notice how the grass around it is green. It is obviously well-fertilized. It therefore seems logical to conclude that the old Commie bastard is finally doing some good.
And that’s the way it’s is …
Dork
Can’t take credit for that line. Read it somewhere, but have no idea where. I’d attribute it if I could.
But, of course, that’s what I do . . . read and gather colorful little shiny bits and then weave them into a tapestry. I particularly like to take ideas and reapply them in situations that the originators never considered. Some might call that creativity. When students did it and didn’t give attribution, I called it theft.
Remember, if you steal material from one source, it’s called plagiarism. If you steal from several, it’s called research.
My late great Brother In Law was in Nam from 67-69. He told the same story about overwhelming wins on the battlefields for the US Army while he was there. He passed away four years ago at age 63 from cancer courtesy of Pres Johnson & Def. Sec. McNamara from their use of agent orange which he said was sprayed directly upon them several times.
That shit killed as many of our men as the enemy did only much later in their lives.
After the TET offensive which ended as a decisive defeat for the Viet Cong/North Vietnamese of huge proportion. Le Duc Tho the North Vietnamese negotiator was prepared to bargain for a cease fire /truce leaving South Vietnam intact .
In interviews long after the Viet Nam war was resolved by a North Vietnamese victory he revealed the surprise & amazement he & the North Vietnamese leadership had when the Tet offensive was reported as a loss by the American Media.
The North Vietnamese changed course & rode to victory on the actions of the American media & the anti war movement.
In a similar action it was the unfavorable portrayal by the American Media of the air campaign against Saddam Huesseins army while they were fleeing Kuwait which precipitated the ceasefire & suspension of the first Iraqi war which allowed the trapped Iraqi forces to escape & let Saddam maintain his position as dictator of Iraq to fight another day.
These are two glaring examples for the need to censor or muzzle the media when we are at war in order to allow our military leadership to secure a total victory.
I guess the message is to allow a general or admiral to run a news organization might well be humorous….to allow a news organization to control or influence the prosecution of a war is a disaster. Only the Democratic Party champions let alone condones the practice.
No country, as divided as we are, can ever win a war. The Democrat party won’t let it happen. Open the link for the truth about Viet Nam. Then follow Obama’s actions in the Middle East.

“Once again, just as with VietNam, our government has proven that the only force on this planet which can defeat the US militarily and economically is the Democratic Party.”
Hate to be critical of a great remark,
BUT
Democratic is an adjective. So according to this remark the party in question is “un-named” by democratic.
The real and correct “nom” is DEMOCRAT. That’s a noun and can be used to a subject.
Anyone ever hear of the Republicanic Party ot the Libertarianic Party?
The terms “democrat” and “democratic” are interchangeable in this case, more from familiarity of use than purity of diction. Once the term “democratic” is capitalized, it becomes the name of that political party.

If we were all to speak proper English all the time, much of what utter would be cumbersome. For example, the average guy on the street can’t explain how to properly use “who” and “whom,” and who the hell answers the question “Who is it?” with “It is I” rather than “It’s me,” which is grammatically wrong.
Long ago I stopped criticizing other people’s grammar and diction unless their constructions either confused or misled their audience. Virtually everyone today uses “they” to refer to a singular antecedent, as with “Every parent wants ‘their’ children to get a good education.”
“Their” cannot legally refer back to “parent,” which is a singular noun, but to be politically correct and avoid accusations of gender discrimination, people have become afraid of using “he” or “his” because of feminazi knee-jerk reactions.
One of the most common flaws people make without even knowing it’s a flaw is the ol’ “reason is because.” The linking verb “is” serves as an equal sign, showing direct case relationship between the subject and whatever is in the predicate of the sentence. But since “reason” is a noun, “because” cannot legally refer back to it since it is itself an adverb. The linking verb would then be saying that the adverb grammatically equals the noun.
Common use, however, has made that construction ubiquitous, much like “It’s me,” which is grammatically illegal for the same reason: objective pronoun being equated to a subjective one.
OTOH, sometimes I DO make mistrakes when I ttpe, usually from hqste or flaggong innterest in the yopic.
Thanks for the protracted lecture on the English language and its idiosyncratic anomalies, bocopro.
I still think those Democrat assholes are not Democratic assholes, however.
I have the utmost respect for those who fought in ‘Nam. Once again the American public, and the Dipshitocrats have defeated the military. Not to mention those political bastards that wear stars on their shoulders. And, just like ‘Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan were a waste of time and lives for someone’s political agenda. There is no way to defeat an ideaology (sp?), no matter how much technology you have. I for one am glad I’m retired and no longer have to put up with it. (I could go on for a good rant here but it’s pointless). Just give me my check once a month and leave me the hell alone.
Yeah, Denny get those Helicopters fired up. Airstrikes are not going to stop them and we will not put boots on the ground this time. We do not have the will to do so. Iraq will be overrun and we have to deal with them and their new nation just like Vietnam. I read about Vietnam and damage the left and the anti-war did to efforts over their, what a tragedy, what backstabbing. I agree with Sargent Major on this one 100%.
Republican ends in can, democrat ends in rat.
Personally, we need to get out the war business. Our people paying for and dying for “others” to this day is still an extension of ww1 and ww2.
Blood and Treasure!
Enough!
Lower the corporate rate to zero, get rid of all the illegals and secure the borders, remove welfare (if the illegals can do the work, so can the welfare crowd.
Buy all the gold we can with our useless paper fiat money, then repeal the 16th and 17th amendments and the federal reserve act. It will take awhile but this will help right the ship.
Best thing would be an Arc-Light strike on D.C. Turn it into a hole. But then again we’d have different assholes back in there. Pointless. Limit terms of the senate and congress and keep the head idiot to one, and there are no “returns” after any length of time. Oh yeah, and keep these civilian assmunches from being buried in Arlington. That place should be for the REAL HEROES.
I’d be for term limits if the timeframe from the vote to inauguration was shortened.
In other words, NO lame duck time period where they can vote for crap if they are no longer a representative. Just a way to stick it to the voters.
