I guess sailors are more sensitive as to what they are called. A couple years ago I called a retired Navy officer buddy a squid, and he was none too happy.

I’m ex-Navy and I have no problem with being called a squid. AFAIK none of my old buddies have a problem with that name. It must be because he’s an officer. Tell him to get over himself.
I’m not sure what’s up with him. He was a BN on an A6 Intruder – flew over IRAN in the jimmah reign . He used to be a predictable guy. Shoots Cowboy Action Pistol, used to vote conservative, but lately he’s on a global warming belief kick. I asked him if he was going through menopause. That elicited the same response as above. I should have him tested for senility.
