Stabbed In The Back

Mary Landrieu, who was the deciding vote in the Senate for Obummercare and was bribed with the Louisiana Purchase. was just stabbed in the back by her fellow Dimocrats. She introduced the Keystone XL pipeline in the Senate, trying to convince the voters of her state that she really really cared for them and was not a liberal Obola supporter (even though she voted with him 97% of the time) and it only got 59 votes, one vote less than it needed to avoid a filibuster. It wouldn’t have cost the Dimocrats anything to pass it since Obungler would have vetoed it just like he will if the Republicans can pass it in the Senate next year. See how much your fellow Dimocrats care for you Mary? How does it feel? First you betray your state and now you’re getting stabbed in the back by your fellow Dimocrats. Her only recourse now is stealing enough votes to win the runoff nest month.

  1. There’s a big difference between pResident Ebola vetoing a bill passed by loyal Democrats and the same bill passed by ee-ville Republicans.

    • Yes, a Keystone XL bill that made it to Obola’s desk with bipartisan support might have opened a pathway for “moderate” Democrats to push their party closer to the center. (It’s significant that Reid even allowed the bill onto the Senate floor. Maybe this is his petty revenge against Obama for the Obama demotion he just got handed.) I get the idea plenty of Democrats privately see Obola for the dangerous jackass that he is, but they see no faction they can join to do anything about it. The Democrat leadership has effectively held their rank and file in line, and to hell with the country.

Yes, I know I’ll be told there are no “moderate” Democrats anymore, and you could make an excellent case. But I wish there were, because I wish we had a choice. Just as blacks are taken for granted and abused by their party because they automatically vote Dem, so we can be ignored and abused by the Republican party because the Democrats are too evil to even consider. When there’s no competition, nobody is motivated to improve.
