You can show this to the average public-schooled American and they’ll give you a blank stare because it means nothing to them and the reality of it doesn’t register in their addled minds. They can’t find the Mediterranean Sea, the extent of the Middle East and Asia Minor are a complete mystery, North Africa is indistinguishable on the map, and the complexity of Europe is incomprehensible to them.
