A high-school physics teacher has developed his own six-day curriculum that he uses to teach about institutional racism, privilege, and social justice as part of his seniors’ physics classes.

WTF? What does white privilege have to do with physics. This brings to mind sumpin’ that happened with my nephew out in California. in his math class he had to write an essay totally unrelated to math. His father wrote a letter to the school asking why English was being taught in math class.

The teacher, Moses Rifkin of University Prep in Seattle, has also been promoting the lesson plan to other high-school science instructors.

John Burk, a math and physics teacher from Delaware, said that he learned about the curriculum when he met Rifkin at a People of Color Conference and gushed that it “brilliantly brings lessons about social justice, privilege, and institutional racism into the physics classroom.”

What does “social justice, privilege, and institutional racism” have to do with physics? Nothing!

In fact, Burk loved the unit so much that he had Rifkin write a guest post about it in his (Burk’s) own blog, in which Rifkin explained: “I was jealous of my colleagues in English and History who got to talk every day in class about society and how it worked and how to be moral and caring and kind, whereas those conversations with students only happened for me outside the classroom.”

Well if that bullshit is so important to you then quit teaching science and go teach English or History. On second thought, that bullshit shouldn’t be taught in English or History either. It’s nothing more than racist propaganda. Why don’t we talk about black privilege? Yannow, how unqualified blacks are admitted to schools ahead of qualified whites or Asians. Or howza ’bout our president. You take a white person with the same skills and experience as Obungler and there is no way he could have been elected president. Sarah Palin was more qualified than Obumbler, since she had actual executive experience having run a town and a state. The only thing Oblunder had ever run was his mouth.

“That I was teaching at a private school only made matters worse: my students weren’t learning about their own privilege (academic and, in most cases, economic and racial),” Rifkin continued.

Yannow, if I were spending big bucks to send my kids to a private school and we had teachers teaching this class envy bullshit I would be on the phone to the principle demanding this bullshit stop or I would pull my kid out of there. I would have other parents doing the same thing. The parents are paying big bucks for their kids to get an education not an indoctrination.

During one section of the course, Rifkin’s post explains, students study black physicists. For a homework assignment, he instructs students to learn about a pre-1950s black physicist and also a modern black physicist. Rifkin explains that he expects finding information about black physicists will be tough, which “points to the big question of this project: why is this? Why, percentage-wise, are there dramatically fewer black physicists than black Americans?”

“Is it because black students are not interested in physics? Not capable? Something else?” the homework assignment asks.

Once again, what does that have to do with physics itself? Absolutely nothing! But if he really wants to know I can give him a quick explanation. It’s a cultural thing. It’s the anti-achievement mentality in the black culture. Doing well in school is “acting white”. I don’t think that’s the answer he wants to hear but that’s the truth. There have been studies on this. One was actually done by a black anthropologist in Shaker Heights Ohio. Read about it here. Needless to say the author of this study was castigated for the results by members of the black grievance society. Blame the messenger. But I digress.

Yes — the physicist has to be black specifically and the assignment “will not cover any other minority groups that may not be as involved in science.”

And to you Seattle parents who are paying to send your kid to this pricey school aren’t you happy that they are being taught racial politics instead of science? This is the fourth week of the project. Yesterday, I had to go down to Shepherd Center to get fitted for a new wheelchair. I’ve been using my current chair since 2007. For the past four years, I’ve gotten two experimental chairs from the VA. The first one developed a problem and they weren’t able to get any parts for it. The second one was made of carbon fiber and was a really cool chair. Without the wheels it only weighed eight pounds. It was a great travel chair, altho’ a bit unstable. It definitely would not do well on ice or snow so I would take my heavy wheelchair when I went skiing. Alas, since the VA chair was made of carbon fiber if it developed a weakness it was subject to breakage. That happened one of the times I visited Ryan and Sherry before they got the ramp. Going down their steps we had a mishap and the chair landed on the sidewalk and damaged part of it. A few months later as I was rolling down my driveway, the footplate caught on a lip where the road met the end of the driveway and the chair came to a halt. I demonstrated Newton’s First Law of Motion: A body in motion tends to stay in motion. The wheelchair stopped and I continued and we had the incredible flying cripple. When the wheelchair stopped, I heard a loud, “Crack!”. That was the weakened part of the frame giving way. I was able to make it up the driveway but that was the end of the chair. Anyway, at Shepherd, I regaled the people at seating clinic with the Great Master Bathroom of Dunwoody project and how it was dragging on. One of the ladies said, “How is it that they can build a house in four weeks, but it takes forever to rebuild part of it?” Amen.

Last week, they only worked one day on it. Tuesday through Friday, nothing was done. This week, the painter came by yesterday. All she essentially did was prep the walls for painting and buy the paint in the color I picked. Today, the granite dudes showed up. The project manager blamed the granite dudes for the delay in the project. Bullshit! With proper planning this wouldn’t have happened. The granite dudes were supposed to come at 8:30. They actually showed up at 8:00. What a shock! Usually contractors are late. They finished at 1:00. I now have two granite counter tops and a granite shower. It looks great! Now what remains are two new mirrors, shower doors, a grab bar in the shower, grab bars for the toilet, new electrical fixtures, the plumbing in the shower and the two sinks, and painting. Also knobs on the cabinets. I don’t know why the cabinet guys didn’t put them on. I know I selected them when I ordered the cabinets.

I know the job will not be finished tomorrow. Hopefully it will be finished next week in week 5. I hate home improvement projects! So do my cats.

We have booger eatin’ moh-rons at the State Department saying that the way to beat ISIS is by a jobs program. Obungler claims that ISIS is not Islamic even though it calls itself Islamic and “Islamic” is part of its name. Russia is flexing its muscles and is behind the rebels in Ukraine. We have a fake recovery and our foreign policy is in shambles and 50% pof Americans think Obumbler is doing a good job? WTF is wrong with this picture? America is truly doomed!

And let us not forget, Chicago’s South Side is mainly black. And as far as the Black Lives Matter crowd goes, just remember that the only black lives that matter are the ones taken by white people. MATTHEWS: How do we stop this? I don’t see it. I see the Shia militias coming out of Baghdad who are all Shia. The Sunnis hate them. The Sunnis are loyal to ISIS rather than going in with the Shia. We didn’t win WWII by being nice and worrying about collateral damage. We won by killing Germans until they couldn’t kill us anymore. We defeated Japan by nuking two cities. What a crock! I can remember when we celebrated both Washington’s birthday and Lincoln’s birthday, but now we have President’s Day. GMAFB! It’s getting so bad that Dexter is having to sell his mansion in California and move back to Atlanta. They are busy leeching off their father’s legacy. His supervisor Stan was taking him through the orientation and describing the equipment the dolphins carried in their special harnesses. “And in the finest tradition of the Swiss St. Bernards, we equip the dolphins with a flask of brandy to tide the stricken sailor over until we can reach him.”

Stan assigned Bill the task of putting together the harnesses and left him to his work.

Somehow (I actually know how it happened. It happened when I downloaded Open Office)) I got some malware on my PC. Since I’m having one of my pain spells and cannot sleep I used the malware program that came with my PC and removed it. I got some crappy program called blinkiland that embedded itself into Chrome. And somehow my proxy server settings got changed. Between my sore and the Great Master Bathroom of Dunwoody remodeling project this year hasn’t started out too well. Now, I had to debug my PC only a few hours after I got it. And to top it all off, I’m having one of the pain spells I get four to six times a year. They last 24 to 36 hours. This is the second one this year. Already! The first one lasted two days. I’m also having loose stool. I know, TMI. When you consider I’m on Elavil, neurontin, oxcarbazapine, methadone, and hydrocodone it’s amazing that I’m not totally knocked out on my ass. I wish! Now, I’m going back to bed to try to sleep. I also have some percocet I’m gonna take.
