Paul sent me some links to this guitarist, Josh Turner, not to be confused with the C&W singer of the same name.
Not bad from someone who sez he can’t play classical guitar.
This guy is very versatile. Besides classical guitar, he plays bronze string acoustic, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, and lute. The electric guitar he plays is a Fender Telecaster. Pumpman used to rave about Telecasters. When Jimmy Paige took Jeff Beck’s place in the Yardbirds, Beck gave him a Telecaster. Of course, with Led Zeppelin he always played a Gibson Les Paul.
Here’s Josh with some friends doing Suite Judy Blue Eyes, for all of you fans of drop D tuning. I saw CS&N once and they played this. I always thought Steven Stills was a much better guitar player than Neal Young.
I’m glad you liked the various videos of Josh playing, Denny. That kid is really good.
Those guys were really good. And it looks like they were having a blast doing it.
