Up and running on my new ‘puter. Web sites that used to load real slowly, like Gateway Pundit, now load really fast. It’s like going from a tricycle to a BMW Z3. Intel i5 3.1 Gigahertz and 16 Gig of RAM. This oughta be good for another two years or so. I’ve already got some crap I have to get off of it. That didn’t take long.
On another matter, today marks week 3 of the Great Master Bathroom of Dunwoody renovation. No one has been here to work on it since Monday. Still waiting on the Granite Dude.
But, can it make a phone call?
Sorry, just can’t wait for you to get your wine back.
Where did you get your new compute?
Who made it?
Did it come with 16 Gig of RAM?
How much did it cost?
Might have to get a new one myself.
I got it from Vision Computers. They’ll build one to your specs. That’s why I got the 16 Gig of RAM. They are a bit pricey. I paid about $1K. They have great tech support. I was able to get three more years out of my old desktop because of them. I got a bad virus back then. They had to reload the OS but they were able to save all the important stuff and put it in a folder called Old Data. I had Turbo Tax files all the way back to 2006 that they saved. Neal Boortz had them as one of his sponsors when he was still on the air.
Funny you should mention Gateway Pundit and talk about timing Denny…..Just today I was wondering if I could return to Gateway Pundit with my new computer (Less than 1/2 as powerful as yours but about 8X stronger than my XP lap-top that took a dump last month) I gave this new Windows-7 computer a try and now Gateway Pundit comes-up quick and clear on mine too. So, I’ve added Gateway Pundit back on my “Daily Visit” list. Once again I’ll be able to “Sing-along with Denny” whenever Gateway Pundit is mentioned.
You fplks are way ahead of me.
I’m still putting along on my Commodore VIC-20 and a cassette, tape external drive.
