Didja hear the latest? Obungler is claiming that he has cut the deficit while he has been in office. And he also thinks Obummercare has cut the deficit. He blames the first trillion dollar deficit on Chimpy McHalliburton Bushitler. And speaking of Halliburton, Obumbler just played a round of golf with a Halliburton bigwig. Where’s the outrage?
But I digress.
See, the one trillion dollar deficit was Bush’s fault because he was in office at the start of that fiscal year. The only thing wrong with that argument (some liberal economists came up with that) is that the spending bills were passed after Bush left office and they were signed by Oblamebush so Dubya had absolutely nothing to do with any of the spending. The trillion dollar deficits can be laid at the feet of Speaker Blinky, Horrible Harry, and Obeauzeau. Just remember, that the Dimocrats won in 2006 by blaming the Republicans for spending like drunken sailors. They ran as fiscal conservatives which would be funny if it weren’t so serious. They passed Paygo and immediately ignored it. Then Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade ran against profligate spending by Republicans. Oboner is gonna go down as the biggest spender in this country’s history.
He’ll also go down on the biggest spender in history when it comes to the lavish vacations he and Moochelle go on. The LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party howled about the vacations Reagan took at his own ranch in California. It was the same thing when Bush 41 vacationed at his home in Maine. I remember they were aghast at how much gas one of his speedboats consumed. They howled when Bush 43 vacationed at his own ranch in Texas. The Dimocrats are supposedly the “party of the common man” but you sure couldn’t tell with its last two presidents. The Clintoons liked to hobnob with rich people at Martha’s Vineyard. So do the Oblunders. Thunder Rodent Thighs and her spawn traveled all over the world on the taxpayers’ dime when BJ was president. So does Mooch now and she takes her mother with her. Often, the Oboners use two separate planes to go to the same place. Just imagine how the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party would howl if Obambi were a Republican going on all of these lavish vacations. Of course, they can’t say anything about Obarky because he’s a Dimocrat and furthermore that would be raaaaaa-cist.
$33 billion in “proposed” cuts? Where did whoever put this together get that number? Does anyone honestly think the dumocrats (and RINO’s) will actually EVER cut spending?
What they might do is slow the growth of spending, say decrease the the growth in spending from like 10% to 7%. In Washington, they’ll claim that that equates to a 3% reduction in spending, even though they’re still spending 7% more.
That’s the same logic my ex tried to use. When something she didn’t need went on sale, she’d buy it, then claimed she saved us the 20% it was marked down. When I pointed out she shouldn’t have bought it in the first place because she didn’t need it and couldn’t afford it, well, that’s when the fight started …
The Fed’s love to buy stuff that we don’t need, pork projects, because it makes them look good to their constituents. Meanwhile we all end up further in the hole.
That’s the beauty of the whole system. The deeper the hole into which they put us, the more we will “need” them to get us out.
Here is the newest way that Obama saves our money. The Whitehouse just hired a new west wing receptionist. A young lady from Connecticut who greets visitors just outside the Oval office and answers the phone. Simple job, right? Wrong! She is Deaf and requires an interpreter to sit beside her and speak for her as she greets and answers the phone. Actually , the interpreter answers the phone and speaks to the callers. You can’t make this shit up!
