One of the stocks I own is American Electric Power, a large electric power utility. They had good first quarter earnings because of the cold winter. The same as last year. In fact, here is an excerpt from their 1st Quarter Earnings Conference Call.

Just as with first quarter 2014, the cold weather and generation performance contributed heavily to these positive results. First quarter 2014 was the coldest in 35 years; first quarter 2015 was the second coldest. But this isn’t the only story for the quarter. With weather year-on-year being about the same and earnings being higher than first quarter last year, the difference is the progress we have made in advancing our growth strategy.

First and second coldest in the last 35 years? How can that be? I thought the planet was warming. It’s like the gummint claiming the planet is warming (I remember NOAA saying last year that January of 2014 was the hottest January on record.) and then blaming the cold weather in the first quarters of 2014 and 2015 for low economic growth. As Insty sez, “Potemkin villages all the way down.”

The gummint just announced that the economy grew .2% in the first quarter. Guess what the gummint economists are blaming for the slow growth? Harsh weather in February, AKA Winter. They did the same thing last year. They blamed Winter for a bad quarter. I’ll bet in another month this number will be revised downward and we will find out that the economy actually contracted. The triumph of Obamanomics.

Actually, if the gummint hadn’t been fudging the numbers for the past six years we would find out that we had never actually recovered from the Great Recession. We know they have been fixing the unemployment numbers. All you have to do is look at the job participation rate which is at an all time low. Of course, the big elephant in the room is Obummercare which has destroyed jobs in this country at an unprecedented pace. Thanks Dimocrats and a big thanks to you John Roberts you fucking traitor for ruling an unconstitutional piece of legislation as Constitutional. What do the Dimocrats have on you I wonder?

Get set for another two years of anemic or no growth in the economy as the Republicans continue to cave to Obungler.

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 28, 2015) — A woman in Baltimore is being praised for what she did after she spotted her son taking part in the rioting in the streets of Baltimore.

A WMAR news photographer videotaped her berating her son for taking part in the violence.

The woman can be seen repeatedly slapping her son and yelling at him. The woman was reportedly watching TV when she saw her son throwing rocks at police.

The woman got the attention of Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Watts.

“If you saw on one scene, you had one mother who grabbed her child who had a hood on his head and she started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed,” Watts said. “I wish I had more parents that took charge of their kids out there tonight.”

Fox News contributer Charles Payne called the woman “Mom of the year” in a tweet. It was retweeted dozens of times and favorited by more than 100 people.

Mom of the Year? I doubt it. She’s prolly a single mother on welfare. The fact that her thug wanna be son was there in the first place casts some doubt on her mothering skills. It was nice seeing her try to slap some sense into her son but it’s prolly too little too late. I’ll be willing to bet that this kid will wind up in jail or on a slab in the morgue shot by another black dude who is the son of a single mother on welfare. 73% of black children are bastards. That word no long means much does it? It’s now the norm even among white women altho’ the illegitimacy rate for white women is much smaller than that for black women.

73% of black children come from single mothers, many of them from multiple sperm donors. Young black boys grow up without fathers so there is no strong male presence in the home. For many of these incipient thugs, the role models are rappers, professional athletes, pimps, and drug dealers. Doing well in school “be actin’ white”. Of course, I’m a racist for pointing this out.

This is the result of LBJ’s Great Fucking Society. We have a permanent black underclass that is poor, uneducated, and dependent upon the gummint. As LBJ said when passing welfare, “We’ll have these niggers voting Dimocrat for the next 200 years.” Of course, this was the plan.

It’s amazing how the Dimocrats, in the 60’s, pivoted from overt racism to caring about black people. Remember that the Dimpocrat Party was the party of slavery. Republicans freed the slaves. The Dimocrat Party was the party of Jim Crow. Bull Conner was on the Dimocrat National Committee. The father of Pope Albert I of the Church of AGW voted against civil rights. Pope Al lied when he said his daddy voted for the Civil Rights Bill. MLK was a Republican. Now the Dimocrats are covert racists who pretend to care and they have the useful idiots of the Congressional Black Caucus helping them to keep their constituents poor uneducated and dependent upon the gummint. And some of them, like Sheila Jackson-Lee, not to mention the Obunglers, live like royalty while their constituents remain poor. If the KKK had come up with a plan to keep blacks poor and destroy the black family they couldn’t have done a better job than today’s Dimocrat Party. Why not? The KKK was the militant wing of the Dimocrat Party.

Black folks should really look around and see what 50 years of voting for Dimocrats has got them. Baltimore, the city they are currently rioting in, is controlled by black Dimocrats. How’s that working out for you booger eaqtin’ moh-rons? You did better under Reagan and both Bushes than you have done under the Chocolate Jesus.

Update: I read in the paper this morning, and I see that RiverRat commented as well, that this “Mom of the Year”, is a single mother of six, count ’em, six children. I’ll be willing to bet that there are multiple sperm donors as well. I’m sure that she is on welfare, Food Stamps, and Section 8 housing. She saw her kid on TV, so she sure wasn’t working. So, she has six children that she can’t afford to raise, no job, and no husband. That doesn’t really qualify her as Mom of the Year. I’m surprised liberals are not up in arms about her slapping her child and accusing her of child abuse.

Here we go, white folks. The most recent outrage over the meaningless uselessness of black lives, Freddie Gray, has triggered something never before seen: The Bloods, The Crips, and the Nation of Islam marching together in protest of his death at the hands of the PO-lice. And . . . Valerie Jarrett praised the Nation of Islam for its efforts in maintaining order and discipline. Easy to Google.

Ofr course she does. She’s Iranian and she’s a Mooslime. That also explains Obungler’s Iran policy.

Monkeys? Butts? Snowstorms in Hades? Yeah, right! The Bloods and Crips are probably responsible for the deaths of more black people, often women and children, than all the young black men killed by white policemen in the entire country in the past hundred years. And now they’re ticked off by another young criminal’s putting himself in exactly the wrong place at exactly the right time with a fucking attitude?

If you go clicking around, you’ll find all kinds of posts, obviously from blacks, saying things such as “Being able to set aside differences and schisms to come together and mourn the loss of #Freddie Gray is beautiful” (Twitter) or “The fact bloods and crips came together to protest the murder of #FreddieGray is astounding and beautiful.”

One guy, calling himself “MrMilitantNegro,” said, “THIS is what FoxNews fears: POWER. They are afraid of this. Bloods, Crips and the NOI together.” And another guy, “BlaqBarry,” said, “The power is there. All we have to do is take it before the Mexicans think of it. White people are old and don’t know how to fight in the streets.”

Maybe not, but guess who has the most guns?

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake also praised the NOI during a press conference. This after protestors pull down American flags, destroy police cars, loot buildings, and start fires in Baltimore. They even caused Camden Yards to be shut down during a regularly scheduled Orioles MLB game.

One guy commented that the “protesters are not breaking any just law, just the white man’s law, and that’s o.k.”

Now, maybe I’m just old fashioned, but seems to me that when you tear down the flag, destroy private property, attack police, ruin city vehicles, and demand “justice” before the facts are even published, you’re no longer a protestor. In fact, you’ve even jumped over “rioter” and graduated to full-blown TERRORIST.

They’re not interested in justice, only vengeance, and they figure the best way to get that is through intimidation, extortion, and blackmail: “You don’t let us hang those white cops and we’ll shut down your city.” EXACTLY what happened in Ferguson.

And like the thug-in-training Michael Brown, Gray had at least a dozen arrests. Nobody remembers his ever having had a job. Police at the local precinct say he was in cuffs so often that they could recognize him from surveillance cam vids or stills. But . . . his life mattered. Not sure to whom, ‘cause he was a parasite who lived off his mother and income from a lead-paint lawsuit settlement from the owners of the building he grew up in.

Now, I have no way of verifying it, but at least one Baltimore cop said Gray was banging his head repeatedly against the interior wall of the police van , eventually knocking himself out. The cop deleted his original comment and shut down his Facebook page. I kinda doubt that a genuine police officer would post something like that in the midst of an ongoing and highly explosive incident investigation.

But what it tells me is that we’re never going to know the whole and real truth about what happened. My guess is that it’s a combo of Gray’s own doing along with some suspicious tactics by the van driver. Hard to see cops doing anything overt to a black guy without some good justification after Martin, Brown, and Garner.

And once again, Obumbler is sending someone to Gray’s funeral. No one from his administration went to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral, but let some black thug die and he’s canonized and at least one person from the Oblunder administration is sent to his funeral.

Thanks Oboner voters. I hope you’re happy.

They control both houses of Congress but you sure wouldn’t know it would you? Elect Republicans. They’ll fix everything, especially if Jeb Bush gets elected. The only people they’re tough against are conservatives, yannow, the people who elected them. They just confirmed another racist black for attorney general. They’ll prolly ram scamnesty through by the end of they year.

Oh, and Bruce Jenner told Diane Sawyer he’s a Republican. No wonder he’s getting his balls chopped off. He wants to be just like McConnell and Boner. I guess the next operation will be to remove his spine and fork his tongue and put a hole in each cheek so he can talk out of both sides of his mouth at the same time. That also qualifies him to be an IBM manager since that’s what they do in IBM Management School.

Close! Barack and Michelle were married October 3, 1992 — 23 years ago to be exact. Definitely more than a decade.

Blackie O. couldn’t remember her wedding date? Bill thinks it’s second hand choom but I have never met a woman who did not know the date of her wedding anniversary and how long she has been married. It’s only men who forget birthdays, anniversaries, and how long they have been married. Maybe she really does have the balls in the family.
