Not funny! it’s obvious that the Airman is his son and that someone wants to make fun of his service to his country, which is no less than that of the Marine daughters.
This is a sticky subject for me – I know there’s a lot of inter-service rivalry but, if push comes to shove, any Marine will help out any Army GI and any Navy swabby will come to the aid of any flyboy, Etc. Etc. Etc.
But, to me this sort of stuff is the same as that Kentucky player calling the Wisconsin white player a “Nigga.” Can’t ya’ just hear the “Semper Fi” outrage if this joke was the other way around?
C’mon, were all in this together! Let’s show equal respect for all of our service members. Not like those “Niggas” in our current government – And I ain’t apologizing for that!
Ron, get a grip! This came from a facebook page maintained by Army dudes who are raw and roughneck watchdogs against BS in the Army. It is inter service rivalry. It was posted by guys who would stand with any military guy or gal with his or her back against the wall. They still delight in taking jabs at other branches of service and even those within their own ranks. It is no accident that the army and the Marines delight in referring to AF dudes as members of “Club Fed”. It’s the norm.
Don’t take a page from the Social Justice Warrior manual and become offended when a robust sense of humor would be more appropriate.
Have seen how the military worked in Katrina. Nope, not interested in any of the racial/gender bullshit. Everybody went down the same, including old ladies who armed themselves in their own homes. This is no longer America.
Hey, I’m always ready to give credit to any and all who’ll take one step forward and raise their right hand. That said, I’ll rip on Navy, even though my daughter served for 8 years. Marines are always fair game. Chair Force is always good for a laugh and the poor Coasties got stuck bein’ under Homeland Security. That said, an REMF in any branch is still an REMF.
Hey, Redneck: I agree that a REMF is still a REMF regardless of which branch. But a civilian REMF is always a civilian REMF. Case in point is the ultra-REMF infesting the White House today. He is not only an ultra-REMF, but just a plain MF as well.
You seem to operatin’ on the assumption that he’s actually the one f’in’ the mother of theirs kids. If’n we can believe Rob Cooper, our Ballerina-in-Chief ain’t interested in wimmens, and the source for that news sounds reliable to me.
Do you know why the Navy carries Marines on their ships? Sheep make too much of a mess.
Don’t know any others off the top of my head … I agree with Ron. It’s like your little brother … you may pick on him unmercifully, but let anyone else do so and there’s a problem.
My son graduated from USAFA in 12′. That was no cake walk. Let the Army pukes make fun, if they look up the AF can take their picture! Anyone besides me remember the first definition of an oxy-moron?
Hey, Mark, congrats on your son gettin’ through Colorado Springs, and give him my thanks for serving.
That said, if one is a Jarhead or glorious member of the wonder USArmy Infantry, one knows that it is an officers place to tell the troops to “go get ’em boys.” Almost sounds as though officers have maybe got some smarts, huh? In the US Chair Force, the crews sit on the ground, load up the expensive toys and tell an officer to “go get ’em, Sir, and we hope you make it back.”
The way I see it is he scored more on his tests to have a choice on which branch he joined.

So the daughter was too dumb to get into the Air Force. Marines is a nice consolation prize
I don’t get it. Would someone please explain (in detail).
See Ryan’s comment. Of course, as a Navy dude I had to get my jab in about Air Force dudes playing a lot of golf.

What Marine really means.
My
Ass
Rides
In
Navy
Equipment
Do you know why the Coast Guard has a 6′ minimum height requirement … so they can safely walk to shore in the event of a wreck.
How do you know someone was in the Marines … because they’ll tell you.

Interesting…
