US Marine Jeremy Rawls was suspended recently from Mississippi College after he requested a non-Muslim counselor.
The college labeled him a “threat” after he asked for a different couselor.
A threat? WTF?
Months after the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pledged to improve its treatment of veterans, disabled student veteran Jeremy Rawls is hoping his college might do the same.
Since February, the rising senior at Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. has struggled to maintain good grades and reclaim his work-study position after MC administrators allegedly suspended him and labeled him a threat to himself and other students.
In an exclusive interview with Campus Reform, the former active-duty Marine who served two combat tours in Iraq said his suspension came after he requested to meet with a different counselor in the school’s Office of Counseling and Disability Services. Rawls, who is diagnosed with combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), was originally paired with a female counselor who wore traditional Muslim dress during his initial visit to the office.
“It’s not that I didn’t want to participate… I didn’t want to traumatize her and it wasn’t a good environment to be talking about [my disabilities] with that specific person,” Rawls said.
Holy crap! This dude did two tours in Iraq fighting Mooslimes and they give him a Mooslime counselor? WTF is wrong with these people? And then when he requests a different counselor because he might do harm to her because of his PTSD they suspend him? JHFC! Find the idiot who did that. Tar. Feathers. Rail. Some assembly required. I wished I worked there. First order of business, tell that sand nigger bitch no wearing of Muslim/Islamic clothing of any type while performing her duties for the school. Perhaps he should have sued the college for harassment after the school assigned a counselor who was the embodiment of a “triggering event” for a PTSD vet.
Somebody needs to tell this guy that all he has to do is threaten to sue the school for not recognizing his extreme sensitivity. They’ve failed to provide trigger warnings and there’s no safe place for people like him, with Play-doh and puppy videos. I smell the possibility for a huge law suit and settlement.
